My recent encounter with this store was notably average. The quality of customer service fluctuated, being satisfactory on some occasions, while falling short on others. A particular surprise was being asked to help unload items from the delivery truck - a first in my Canadian shopping experiences.The assembly process of the vanity I purchased posed a challenge due to a lack of instructions. To add to my disappointment, there was a noticeable scratch on the side of the linen tower. The proposed solution, a pot of paint for a DIY fix, was far from ideal.In addition, I explicitly asked for the vanity not to be glued under the countertop. But when I requested the necessary glue to perform the task myself, I was handed an empty glue stick. This seems like an insignificant saving on their part, considering the inconvenience it caused. An added discomfort was that the staff frequently conversed in a language I don't understand, which felt rather discourteous.These incidents collectively made my shopping experience less enjoyable. As such, I find myself puzzled by the high number of five-star reviews for the store, leading me to question their validity.Fuelling my doubts was an email I received from the store offering a $25 discount on the next purchase for customers who leave a five-star Google review. While the motivation behind encouraging customer feedback might be pure, it could unintentionally promote biased positive reviews. This practice could distort the overall ratings, thereby misleading future customers.Businesses should strive to uphold the authenticity and integrity of customer reviews. Genuine reviews not only guide potential customers in their decision-making process but also provide the businesses with sincere, constructive feedback that can help improve their services and products.
