The Friendly Nest Childcare Centre

Amazing centre. A fantastic workplace. Great staff and great owner. She is so considerate and kind, could not asked for a better employer. Would 1000% recommend this centre!!!

My daughter has been enrolled at the friendly nest for a year now. She started at 18 months and being a “Covid baby” she was very shy and suffered from separation anxiety when being away from me. As a first time mom who was trying to navigate this new transition and during a global pandemic I was also very nervous. The entire team has been amazing, my daughter has thrived over the past year. She’s constantly coming home demonstrating all the things she’s learned at daycare. The staff always answers any messages via the app available to all parents and post regular updates each day on there as well. My daughter came out of her shell so much since starting there and I’m very impressed. I even put my son on the waitlist there before he was born because I wanted to make sure he got in for 2023! Can’t recommend enough!

Our son has been attending The Friendly Nest for 9 months now and loves going each day to visit his friends and teachers. The staff are friendly, professional and always have a new craft or activity ready for the kids to try. They do many sensory activities, have story time, dance and sing songs. Our son often sings the songs he learns there and is excited to show us his artwork. They have a fun outdoor play space with a garden that the kids can explore. We also enjoy the updates and photos throughout the day. We would highly recommend this daycare.

We love The Friendly Nest! All the staff members are truly amazing. Everyone is so kind, supportive and caring, and you can tell that all the children feel it too. We love the daily communication and the wide range of games, crafts, and activities. Most of all, the wonderful staff are what puts this centre above and beyond!It makes it so much easier to leave your little one knowing they are being loved, taught, and so well taken care of!

Really unfortunate experience last year with our 1 year old daughter. Oversight of our child was poor. Failed to report a fall and we picked up our child with a swollen lip and were advised that “no one noticed”. Management of the situation was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Instead of allowing first time parents to process the incident, we were argued against, our child was put at blame and we were essentially pushed out of the daycare after one day. The manager told us we “were not a good fit” for them and that they “had a long waitlist”. This place really made us feel ostracized and unwanted with no reasoning given. Just an injured infant, rattled parents and no support, kindness or compassion. We are so grateful to have gone to a more established daycare centre. Sadly we would never recommend this place to any parents.

Have nothing but good things to say. My three year old has been there almost a year and has thrived and admires all the staff.Very gentle teaching methods that she brings home and demonstrates. She learns new things everyday. Very thankful to have found the friendly nest!

Vanessa and her staff always go above and beyond to care for the children. I moved from a homedaycare that I had very negative experience and it made me think my child was difficult. He became a totally different boy since starting at TFN daycare, more sociable, smiley, and talkative. I cannot express enough appreciation towards TFN staff. Parents please be kind to educators, while you are struggling with your one or two kids at home, they have 40 children...

Our little guy has been at The Friendly Nest since the doors opened in Jan 2021, and we have nothing but praise for Vanessa and her wonderful team!Their gentle/positive style, support of self-directed play, and focus on getting the kids outdoors whenever possible is exactly what we were looking for in a daycare. Not to mention, the team of teachers are second to none!I recommend TFN to all of my friends, and we are lucky that some have found spots so our littles can see each other daily!

Very happy in our choice with Friendly nest! Our daughter genuinely enjoys going to this daycare. The staff always come across cheerful and sincere which makes for a great atmosphere for the kids. Our daughter has required additional attention in a few areas as she is delayed in development. But the friendly nest has always gone above and beyond to help us and her however they can. Which was not the case when talking with some other daycares. A few even saying she was too delayed to be eligible for their programs. The friendly nest had no reservations in taking our daughter!

Amazing staff with so much heart in what they do. Daily communication, and consistent professionalism. Health, safety, and hygiene are always a priority. Staff are responsive to the needs of the children. A stimulating environment, smiling staff, and happy children.
