The Break Cafe & Bistro
The Break, is a wonderful new addition to Ucluelet’s culinary landscape. It opened this month on June 19 & is open from 8 am to 3 pm, & closed on Wednesday & Thursdays.Ukee, as locals refer to this ocean village they call home, certainly caught a break with the opening of The Break.It offers delicious pastries to start the day& which includes sticky buns & Cardamom Knots, both in the price range of 5$.’Get there early before they sell out.Stay for lunch which could include shucked oysters, as was the case today. Six Fanny Bay oysters were 24$.The Break, has a seasonly based menu, which can change daily depending on the bounty of nature.Whatever the season, all its food is made in-house & with love, I was told. Looking at the offerings,I believe that to be true.It is co-owned by Bri & her partner, Ross. They are a delightful duo with an accomplished culinary team.Posted by S Fuller

I had the pleasure of visiting this lovely coffee shop and cafe, and I was truly impressed. The food was absolutely fantastic, offering a delightful range of flavors. The coffee was equally remarkable, with a great selection and expert preparation (the art!). I highly recommend visiting The Break if you’re in the area!

Absolutely the best baked goods in town, or anywhere for that matter. Great coffee too. Don’t miss it! If Google maps tells you it’s in the pizza place, wrap around the block until you see it.

Amazing spot for food! Great location to pick up snacks or a full meal, right in the middle of Ucluelet. This visit we tried the pastries and they were amazing, we'll be back to try the sandwiches and more as they look unreal.

Great coffee. Loved the BLT and breakfast baking like the cherry chocolate cruffin and the cookies. Enjoyed eating on the picnic tables outside.

I have eaten and baked a lot of croissants in my life, the almond croissant here was easily the best one I have ever had. Lovely atmosphere and super friendly people :). Seriously get the almond croissant

Breakfast here on the third day of our trip. We wanted a quick, on the go meal because we were doing some hikes and this place piqued our interest. Selection was phenomenal, hard to choose. We decided on the ham and egg brioche. It was hands down one of the best things I have eaten this entire trip to the island. Hats off to the owners. Definitely recommend trying this place, everything looked good. Service was outstanding. Would definitely go back.

We ate a savory pastry, had excellent coffee and latte, and ate the only sticky bun I have ever eaten that is better than my homemade.
