Rented a pontoon boat for a few days. Explored Pigeon And Buckhorn Lake area. Awesome service and friendly. Easily get onto the lake from there dock. The store also has great merchandise fishing gear, water sports equipment and apparel.

*I wrote up this review two years ago in my notes and forgot to post it. The service was memorable and I'm hoping to visit again soon.* We came up for a day trip and had an incredible time on Pigeon Lake! Our adventure to Big Boyd Island by kayak and canoe couldn’t have been possible without the help of the team at Buckeye Rentals. The booking process was easy, and registering on arrival was quick. Taylor was super helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we were safe - you can tell he really cares about his customers and everyone’s overall experience. Would recommend their services to anyone looking for a rental in the area. Also, ask as many questions about key spots/hidden gems before heading out, we realized there is so much we missed after talking to them on our way back.

Best place for your boat rental. Customer satisfaction 100%Eric who attended us today , had taken complete 40 minutes to go over everything about boat safety and what we should be careful of while on water. Boat was in excellent condition except for radio wasn't working at all. Otherwise the maps - tips and everything that Eric explained was perfect and to the point. I would recommend them for your boat rental, kayak, canoe or SUP.

Buckeye Rentals were amazing from the first phone call inquiry to the return of our pontoon boat. Their customer service is top notch and everyone there is very professional and knowledgeable. Craig and Taylor and their staff were a pleasure to deal with.. We’ll definitely be renting from them again next year. We highly recommend using this business for your boat rental needs and there’s a really cute shop that’s worth checking out as well.

My husband and I just rented a pontoon for nine great days on the Kawartha lakes, where we're local, but we don't have our own boat, so we rent, which is a very cost-effective way to travel the waters when the urge arises.Anyway, the boat was in excellent condition and handled very well. Taylor, his dad and their excellent crew were efficient and organized throughout the process. They were beyond professional, but gracious and friendly at the same time.Great place to rent a boat, great guys to call our neighbours.We're already booked for another 10 days next summer!

What a great rental service! The boat was spacious and comfortable and the introduction was thorough and friendly.I don't often post reviews, but this business went out of their way to come pick the boat up from the other side of the lock when we were 10 minutes late to last call. The locks close at 5:30 sharp, sometimes earlier depending on which side you are coming from. We had 6 kids on board all younger than 3 and did our best to make it back on time. The business owner for the rental was understanding and kind and did not hesitate to give us a hand.Also to add, Buckeye Rentals did not charge us for the extra time we had the boat, which was extremely gracious.We would definitely rent from them again!

Awesome experience renting from Buckeye. The boat was great. Fit our 7 adults and 6 kids under 3 easily. Good directions and guidance from the staff. We’ll definitely rent from them again.

10/10 would highly recommend Buckeye Rentals if you want to fish on pigeon lake. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their operations and the lake itself. Was given clear instructions on how to operate the boat as well as which areas to steer clear of due to rocks. They also presented me with a map of the lake and pointed out some great fishing spots. I ended up catching my first muskie that day and couldn't be happier. Already booked a second trip with them and will likely book a third to hunt down a monster fall muskie. A group of us adults with young kids rented a pontoon boat from Buckeye for a day out on the lake while on vacation. The service we received was excellent! Their staff knew what they were talking about, provided great instructions and tips and knew the waterways well. They also provided maps of the lakes which were very helpful. The boat was in great shape and was very clean and comfortable.We went through the lock and into Sturgeon lake for the day. Unfortunately we didn’t realize the locks had changed their closing time and were 10 minutes too late for the last pass through. We called Buckeye and explained our situation to them and they were so gracious and understanding. They came and picked up the boat from the lock and had to trailer it back to their side. They did this with no complaints and did not make us feel bad about it at all. With a handful of young kids, it was already a stressful situation unsure of how to approach the situation and the owner and his staff were so helpful.I would recommend renting from Buckeye to anyone and will definitely be renting from them again! Thanks to the entire Buckeye crew!
