10/10 would recommend. I had just taken my hair out of a protective style when I went in to get a haircut so I had some buildup on my scalp that I was struggling to get rid of. Hailey suggested a chemical peel mask which worked wonders and didn’t irritate my scalp at all! Super happy with my haircut and stoked about how amazing my scalp feels.P.S. the chairs you sit in while they wash your hair are heated massage chairs, so if that’s not a win I don’t know what is.

First time going here for a trim - I loved the natural flow of conversation with Hailey, she was great with realistic suggestions that suits my lifestyle. The washing station has back massagers built-in and the position of my neck was very comfortable. I was also offered coffee or water which I love, especially for an early morning appointment. The vibe is relaxed, bright and beautiful. I will definitely be coming back for Hailey's expertise!!

I've been seeing Kyle for several years now and am so happy with his work. He's super meticulous with cuts and colour, and explains what he's doing and why. He keeps on top of global trainings and techniques too (he travels overseas for the best). He's also really friendly and makes appointments fun. Highly recommend!

I had a trim and layers done by Hailey, she was amazing!! From start to finish the whole appointment was relaxing and pleasant. The salon has such a great calming vibe and everyone there is lovely. I enjoyed the scalp massage and the good conversation too! She asked questions to make sure I was getting the exact cut I wanted, as well as made suggestions based on her knowledge about what would suit me and work with my hair type! I've gotten so many compliments since getting my hair done!! Thanks again! xx

Kyle runs one of the best hair salons in the city, at least in my opinion. Too often you see environments where each stylist works for themselves and ignores everyone else, but not at Base -- the dynamics between every single person is absolutely amazing, and it creates and a fun, healthy environment that makes you feel good about getting your hair done. I'd never seen anyone so passionate about hair until I met Kyle, and his enthusiasm and passion is a refreshing change and makes it clear that it's not just a job" for him and his staff. I highly recommend!"

Very pleased with Base Salon. Kyle is very knowledgeable. He explains in great detail the process and reason behind his method. If you have curly hair, I HIGHLY recommend seeing Kyle. He not only knows how to cut/colour curly hair properly, but he can style it too.

I have been a client of Kyle’s, the salon owner, for at least 5 years. Kyle takes a lot of pride in the salon and is very passionate about what he does. This is evidenced in his work. He takes the time to ensure you leave the salon with a top quality color and style. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, he will always make you feel like your business is valued and appreciated. It is this same level of service that Kyle asks of his staff and it shows. It is for these reasons that I keep coming back to this salon and never hesitate to recommend this salon to all my friends and colleagues.
