House of Jewels

This place is a serious diamond in the rough...I was recommended to check it out when I was stumped on finding a gift for the GF. Went and had a look and its a small place in the residential West End. So I wouldn't say you would typically find it unless you knew it was there.So many cool funky jewelry pieces made by local artists and boutique brands. I thought the majority of items were also reasonably priced. It was safe to say I scored big brownie point on my present with the lady. I have also since taken my GF back there and she loves the place and has been back many times for herself and also buying presents for friends.I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Love this little neighbourhood spot! Full of beautiful clothes and jewellery. The owner Nadene does such a great job at curating the space!

Great finds in one of the few quiet nooks of the West End. I can always count on House of Jewels for great knits and one of a kinds.I do find the sales associates a bit intrusive at times.

Visited over 8 years ago and I couldn't wait to go back. I wasn't disappointed!! Beautiful jewelry, fantastic staff and surprisingly reasonably priced. I absolutely love this store and wish I could teleport it to the east coast so I could shop there every day!

Bought a pair of earrings that I reacted badly to. I loved them so I didn't take them back right away. I wanted to wait until my ears healed and try them again to be sure. Trouble was they didn't so two months after I bought them I took them back with the receipt and the still infected ear and asked to return them. The person who was helping me, who turned out to be the owner, wanted to look up the sale and asked me to give her a day. I agreed. I got a call the next day which went to VM. The message was that she was sorry that they don't do returns and since they were lurchpurc two months ago there was nothing she could do. When I heard that I became not unreasonably upset. I had been suffering with a raging infection since the day after I first wore them, had to go to my doctor and pay for creams and unguents and still had one infected ear. I called to discuss it with the owner. The end result was that I was given a store credit and an additional 25% off coupon but I shouldn't have to have gone through so much to get a reasonable solution to the situation. Whatever happened to customer service and the reality of the customer is always right"? All businesses shisho keep that credo in mind."
