I would trust no others with our fur babies! All of the staff are knowledgeable and experienced. We have been going to South Shore for years. Excellent care provided and staff is always available for phone advice.

If I could leave them a negative 5 I would…ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.2 cats in a carrier at 10:18 pulling up to their facility. I had an appointment for 10:00I HAVE 2 OUTDOOR CATS. they tell me because I’m late for my appointment they will not take me…First time EVER AT THIS VET…. I said I’m still within my window time and you won’t take them? I just got my 2 outdoor cats in carriers and I’m outside..Told me actually maybe we can see one of them. Bring them inside..Than I proceed to the door . Someone comes to greet me to tell me I made their receptionist cry over the phone? What? Because I question why my cats won’t be taken still and that I’m a really upset first time customer that will not be coming back…Their reply was. “Okay”First of all.You tried to book 2 cats in 1 appointment time slot … that’s the first issue you guys made.Good luck to yas.& for the update on your reply. I don’t recall EVER verbally abusing your receptionist as I didn’t have a reason to. I have my own business and wouldn’t ever treat someone with disrespect for no reason. You can try to cover yourselfs but at the end of the day I had a witness even with me… ☺️

We’ve brought many pets here over the years and generally received great service. Recently, we had to bring our cockatiel to be cremated and they were able to help us with this (harder to find a place for this than you’d think!), however, we received rather careless service given the nature of the interaction. I was quickly given a clipboard to sign saying I acknowledged the fees associated and that I did not want the ashes returned to me, handed a debit machine, and sent on my way without a single comment of sympathy. I completely understand that vet locations are swamped, but a small kind gesture goes a long way at a hard time… beyond this though, it’s a solid location for pet care.

South Shore has been a blessing to our family the last 2 years when we needed attention for our cat ASAP. I will always cherish that.I do however have a sour taste in my mouth when I took my cat in to be looked at as he was loosing weight and was quite frail.The vets assistance was absolutely kind and genuine.After they did the physical on my cat, they suggested blood work. It took 15 mins to get the blood work back & was shown the results and told that the cat needed to be euthanized. They offered to do it right then and there.I became upset and told them that I would rather do it at home and the vet told me she'd give me a minute.after 10 mins, the vet never came back. I walked out, paid the $300 bill.TWO weeks later, they called me to book my cats yearly physical exam and vaccines.....You just told me my cat needs to be euthanized, but yet you want more money out of me for something you just did? And told me the vaccines cannot be given to him?It's been over a month and my cat is still with us and back to his normal self. I am thankful i never took the advise of this vet to put our cat down.**I am updating my review as the owner responded, but i am unable to respond to them. I DID NOT want, nor did i choose euthanizing my cat. When i had a follow up call I asked about other options and was basically told medication, but wouldn't improve his quality of life**

I have nothing but good things to say about the South Shore Veterinary Clinic. Everyone was so kind and compassionate when I took my cat in to be put down. The Dr really took the time to explain everything to me to ensure I had all the information I needed in order to make a choice. I 100% recommend.

This place is a complete sham. They have on many occasions tried to price gouge, including when they did a check up. I asked them to take a close look at my one dog’s paw during a standard check up that they make you have and they said they would have to charge extra….. I’m sorry, what am I paying a large fee for you to check if you refuse to even do a basic check of my dog? Another time I had my dog in a few days after he had just had his shots and check up and told them he doesn’t need a check done, just asked them to take a look at his spot under his eye that he had scratched raw. They made me pay for a full check up again and had me pay a lot for drops that made it way worse so I stopped using and it healed on its own. We will now be taking our dogs to the vet my wife went to before.They are also open with no vet there for the last 2 hours of the day and can’t do anything, so just say you’re closed instead. Way to false advertise how often you’re actually open.

i took my kitten here multiple times and was unsatisfied every time. Not only did south shore over charge me, but they failed to inform me of any information about my kittens health or vaccinations. Also they failed to give my kitten any deworming or leukaemia shots, while also giving her a double rabies shot without my knowledge. Last time i went for an exam the two receptionists were talking rudely about another customer right in front of me, i then said goodbye and left and no one even acknowledged me, extremely poor customer service there, not once has any receptionist seem remotely happy or nice. This place is extremely overpriced for terrible services, they give terrible physical exams on my pets while withholding information. I do not recommend this vet and i will not be returning.

Friendly and patient service, great follow up.. no ultrasound machine available yet... reasonable bill at the end...

Being the holiday season and being fully booked, this clinic was able to fit my sick dog in yesterday. The appointment was quick and the job got done. She is all fixed and better now, thank you for saving our holiday season :)

Amazing staff and well organized. The Dr is super lovely. My dog is never scared to enter the clinic.
