Very nice place to spend a non-doctrinaire sunday listening to beautiful music and a thought-provoking sermon. Often they have a soup & sandwich lunch followed by a guest speaker talking about something interesting.

The building is open to the light and radiates a warmth that is very welcoming. This is a group that believes in self empowerment and social justice.

I’m relative new to UCV but I find the leadership and congregation very supportive. If you are looking for an inclusive community, check this out.

UCV has really good music. The choir, under Donna Brown, sings twice monthly--contemporary spiritually-based music, some classic masses in Latin, folk songs from around the world. Other weeks, Elliott Dainow brings in a wide variety of vocalists and instrumentalists, depending on the topic of the service. The children's program has a core value of respect for self and others, and often involves outdoor/garden activities.

What a wonderful gathering place to have found. Truly feels like HOME at this Unitarian Church of Vancouver. I plan to become a member soon and to become very involved in this amazingly friendly and brilliant community. Thank you, Reverend Epperson, and ALL, for making me feel SO welcome from Day One. :-D I highly recommend that interested or new people attend the next upcoming New to UCV Worshop" to learn the specifics such as Unitarian Principles and Sources of Faith. But be sure to come every Sunday leading up to the next new to UCV workshop. SO much going on in this community meeting place! You will find plenty of interesting things to do and groups to work with throughout the week

An open minded, liberal spirtual home for those who want to make up their own mind about big questions like whether God exists and what happens after you die. We are united in or values. The seven principles of unitarianism. Google those words to learn more. For our holy book we use the complete library. The Bible, Koran, Lotus Sutra but also Socrates, MLK speeches, Richard Dawkins, Camus, Mary Oliver.Stephen Epperson is minister at the Vancouver church. He combines the intellect of a university professor with the heart of a therapist. Most of us support classic left-wing positions on many political issues. You may find that annoying of your own values are conservative. But on the other hand, a core value for us is that you have the right to seek out the truth through your own path. If your path goes through conservatism then great. Let's talk about it.
