Chimney Coulee
Interesting little piece of history in connection to Fort Walsh. Not a well maintained site but still worth the short drive from Eastend to go and see. A U of A archeology team was present when we visited and were pulling up Métis artifacts including beads, Buffalo bones, and pieces of white china tea cups.

Beautiful drive out - not too much to see and trails are vague at best. Hopefully these can be a bit more maintained over time since it is a beautiful spot.

Puzzled by the higher ratings. It's a pull-off with a good historical account but little else to see and the trails down to the coulee are rough. Better to visit nearby Pine Cree Coulee for a better trek.

***if google says take township road 72 you may want a different road if you aren't in a truck**This is a beautiful area. There was a short area of maintained path and then it was deer trails through the bush. We were't really expecting pushing bush type hiking so we only went about half an hour but still beautiful.

One of my favorite places in Eastend to hike! Beware of cougars though!
