High Street Animal Hospital, Peterborough

I had to unfortunately put my cat down due to emergency medical reasons, the team at high street we’re very caring and went above and beyond to make the process less painful. I was extremely surprised and touched to receive a flower arrangement from them today for my loss, the team there really cares about the animals they treat and the owners.

The staff were wonderful with my fur babies! Thank you!!

Our 140lb Bull Mastiff is a rescue with an unknown history. He came with gastro issues, and is skittish. He doesn't like men or do well with first time meetings.First the positive- the front desk staff are always friendly.Now the negative- the Veterinarians themselves are not friendly or talkative. Nor did they review animal history which led to the Vet nearly giving our dog double vaccines. The clinic itself did not record previous history of our rescue which was all provided during the intake; including vaccines/procedures & notes on behaviors. This led to an incident where a young Vet Tech got in the face of our nervous 140lb dog just to say hi" and he reacted. The incident spiraled as they didn't have records of his vaccines and claimed he wasn't vaccinated. The health unit became involved

My cat had to have her hind leg amputated. I was an absolute mess taking her in but the staff were very empathetic and did everything they could to console me and reassure me that my cat would be well taken care of. They were wonderful with her and I'm happy to report that she has made a full recovery and is in excellent health. I highly recommend this animal hospital

They were all absolutely amazing with my kitty, family had been using this vet long time so gave it a try..made my first visit a great one.

Had a appointment and a fallow-up appointment, both visits I found the staff very welcoming and knowledgeable.I was super impressed when the clinic offered advice on after care that was specific to the services received. I felt very comfortable and would visit again.

Amazing people! Prices are the best around. I bring my pet for regular check ups because it's affordable. They are super understanding about your concerns about procedures your pet may need.

I am rating high street animal hospital poorly because I brought my animal in to get looked at and they suggested my animal go on specific food. No where did they say if I opened the food and my animal didn’t like it I could not return the food, meanwhile it’s worth quite a bit of money.I opened the food, it probably had 2 scoops out of it and my cat didn’t eat any of it or very little.I called to ask them why they don’t take opened food back as I live out of town, and they stated since Covid they don’t take any opened bags of food back regardless if your animal won’t eat it. The company is a guarantee money back if the food doesn’t work out with your animal but according to high street animal hospital, they don’t have the time to deal with the return of food. I will be contacting the company to get my return of money and I will no longer be providing my business to a vet that doesn’t honour any guarantees, as the vet I am now with said they would honour the food guarantee if I bought it there.

I was very happy with the treatment and care and the kindness from all the staff. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone. Thanks so much for everything.
