I’ve been a student of Tommys for years years ago. Tom teaches street Aikido and the legal aspects of self defence.Tommy is an excellent teacher and has patience and understanding. What he teaches is practical and can be applied in the real world. He’s not teaching how to get a fancy belt or fancy bows. He teaches survival. How to get out of situations tactically and safely.The man is genuine and caring. If you’re looking for a martial arts or self defence in the area Tommy G is your guy.

Tommy is a fantastic instructor! He knows how to keep his students entertained and teach them at the same time. Taking his aikido course is helping me a lot with my self-confidence and helping me relieve my stress from my work days.

I am extremely appreciative and grateful to be taught at Tommy G's Self Defense Training Center. The knowledge provided to me, especially pertaining to Control & Defensive Tactics gave me better insight from the course, and the reasoning behind use of force.He is very clear, concise, detailed oriented, passionate about what he teaches and also extremely patient making sure you understand what is being taught and why.

Tommy is incredibly knowledgeable! A master at what he does and someone who truly cares about his students! I never anticipated the amount of kindness and patience he shows his students (both young and old). He goes above and beyond just teaching self-defense. The self-esteem and self-confidence in the students at the end of every class is heart-warming! Tommy is very clear in his method of teaching. He is great at scaling the instruction and execution to match individual students' level of experience and is able to keep everybody engaged and learning. He will make your journey a positive and empowering experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the centre is clean and professional.
