We rented kayaks to make a trip to Newcastle Island. The service was great and the price reasonable. It is situated off Stewart Avenue, on the Newcastle Channel, a stone's throw from Newcastle Island.

A friend and I rented kayaks for 3 hours for a reasonable price of $30. The equipment seemed fairly new and well maintained. The staff was friendly and gave us some tips about where to go. There are a few options, you can go around Newcastle Island (2-3 hours), around Departure Bay (where the ferry is), or down to Protection Island.You have to carry the kayaks around the building then down the boat ramp, which isn't too bad. When you get back, you have to carry it up the boat ramp and back around the building.

Rented kayak with my girlfriend. Absolutely beautiful view and great deal. rental was only under $40 for 3hrs. Had a great experience there during holiday in summer.

Amateur hour.. was overcharged on credit card and asked for them to refund the difference. Was told multiple times that it wouldn't be a problem they just wouldn't do it at that moment. It became clear later the guy was just lying so he wouldn't have to deal with it. When l return the kayaks I am told that refunding the excess charge is our problem and we need to drive to their main store at country club after the long weekend to get my money back 0/10 customer service.. also it's pay parking even if you get a day rental you still have to pay for parking anything over 3 hours. Aside from that kayak themselves were great.

Great service and an awesome experience! Rented for an evening kayak with my husband and it was awesome! Can't wait to go back next time we are in town!

Fantastic service with a laid back vibe. The guys working here have always been really genuine with us. Good prices and good equipment.We stand up paddle board and walking barefoot to the launch is always painful as it is rocky. Bring water shoes!

Our family rents kayaks from here all the time in the summer. Great value for an awesome time out on the water

Not a positive experience, very disorganized service. The shop keepers complained to us about lousy co-workers and how new management just threw people in with no experience or training and understaffed. After waiting 20 minutes to finally get service, we waited an additional 30 minutes for them to print off a waiver for us to sign. While we were gently pushing off the island to head back to the Outpost at the end of our kayaking day, my fiancé's paddle broke. They made us pay for the broken paddle, despite the fact that we did not misuse it. They did us a favour" and only charged us $80.00 because it was a "really old paddle"... Needless to say

Awesome experience, and cheaper than other kayak rental places. A lot of fun on the water, easy to go to Newcastle and find sea stars.

I had a terrible over the phone customer service experience. I called in requesting more information on renting a double kayak for a few hours and the process involved once advised I needed to pre-pay over the phone with a credit card I informed that I did not have mine with me and the employee's response was ugh." Then before I was asked if I had any more questions he tried to rush me off the phone and when I told him I had another question he said "yeah!" as if it was an inconvenience. I asked my question which was to confirm pricing to find out if it was per person or per kayak
