I have lupus and kidney failure which I’ve undergone chemo IV over the past year. I had two seizures that broke both shoulders due to complications in July. Because OHIP is paying for my rehabilitation they offer a lower rate. So I received minimal treatment. I never once received a half hour session. I only know the timeframe from the people giving me rides to my appointments.I just had another set of seizures that put me in the hospital for another 8 days in LTC. I woke up not remembering everything from the past 8 months. And even further behind in my overall progress, but apparently I’m fine to no longer continue.I feel taken advantage of because of my last head injury. The rest of physio workers seemed friendly, only one secretary of two was nice. I would not recommend this office to anyone however.

Went here for OHIP funded treatment post total hip replacement surgery. The gentleman who seems to head up things and does the assessments is very knowledgeable, kind, understanding, and humble. Great bed side manner. This place is only concerned with helping you get better. They could have kept me coming back but discharged me when there was nothing else they could do for me. They were very pleasantly surprised by my progress and amount of work I’ve been putting into my own recovery. Says a lot for their professionalism and character. A good experience.

I have attended physiotherapy treatments at the Physiotherapy Centre many times over the past 25+ years. My experiences there have all been very pleasant & they have helped me a great deal. I looked forward to seeing Penny the owner mingling with all her patients & encouraging us all. All the staff was always so friendly & it was nice to see how they all worked together. I was always greeted with smiles by everyone. I will continue to go there for my physio when needed and highly recommend anyone to go there to receive treatments

They just called me TODAY from a referral that was sent to them in mid AUGUST!!! TERRIBLE!!!! I'm actually in shock to have received that call. They'll make you wait for so long that by the time they can get to book an appointment, it is already way too late for physio. With a track record like that, they ought to be shut down for doing more harm to the community than good. With this kind of track record, I strongly recommend you STAY AWAY from this place! To make matters worse, when I called back, they seemed inceedibin disorganized, and did not seem to know at first why they even called me in the first place. After informing them that it is WAY too late for physio now, the attitude I received was truly mind boggling. With how poor my almost experience was, I can't help but wonder how this place is still in business. I am truly stunned to see a place like this be as disorganized and unprofessional as they are, not to mention completely casual about a TWO MONTH waiting period. TWO MONTHS?! Jesus dude! By the time you get around to your patients, they'll either be dead, no longer in need of physio, or will be in a seriously worsened condition. Seriously though, if you can't get patients into your office in a reasonable amount of time, stop wasting people's time and just shut down your operation already!

Attended the clinic for micro tears in my mid back and shoulder! The therapist always striving for the zero to minimum effort day. Promised to show me proper stretches one session then complained the next, showing me the stretches inconvenienced him. The therapist also uses same treatment for all patients. Plus, I'm still experiencing limited mobility. I recommend not visiting this clinic!

Long wait list. The physiotherapist didn’t seem to want to listen to me and understand exactly what the ongoing issues are. The physiotherapist actually took a phone call during my assessment that pertained to discussing another patient’s treatment while I sat in his office.I don’t believe that any of the medical test results were charted despite my telling him that he could confirm diagnostic findings as well as address any concerns or questions with my doctor. My doctor made this referral with the stipulation that I was not to be aggressively treated because of the severity of my pain and the fact that I’m still undergoing testing to fully diagnose the issue. I have medical proof of the nerve component to my pain so I experience burning and sharp pain at the site of my issue radiating to other body parts. After my second session during which I had hoped to discuss the situation with my physiotherapist (apparently the physiotherapist felt that a few minutes of assessment was more than enough) I discovered that I wasn’t booked in to see him which meant that I couldn’t discuss the substantial increase in pain and decrease in mobility. Unfortunately due to the fact that apparently nerve pain wasn’t significant enough to get charted properly I sustained a burn from the use of heat packs that I wasn’t aware of until I got home. When “normal” is sharp, burning pain it makes sense that I didn’t know that I was being burned by the heat pack. Add to that the fact that the majority of the exercises that were prescribed for me (4/6 are currently impossible) weren’t ones that I was able to undertake effectively I am really unimpressed. I found myself in tears with any attempt to sitstill or do anything resembling my exercises. All in all I haven’t decided whether I’m having an experience with incompetent professionals treating me or whether they simply don’t care. Hopefully my future experiences are better but I’m not holding my breath.

For 2 months I had very severe back pain, I could not sleep from the pain, I could not get out of bed on my own. It was very painful, I screamed in pain. Fortunatily my family doctor sent me to Advantage Physiotherapyphy. Reception staff there is very friendly and attentive. My physical therapist was Alanna Laura Smith. I cannot express in words how grateful I am to her. A wonderful, very attentive person and, most importantly, a competent specialist! She offered a set of exercises, showed how to do them, checked, did I understand everything correctly and scheduled the next visit in a week. It's fantastic! After a few days, the pain practically disappeared, I came to life!A week later I came to Alanna, she was happy for me and showed me another exercise, after which she made another appointment for me in 2 weeks to make sure that everything was in order with me.Without any hesitation and with great pleasure I recommend Alanna Laura Smith to anyone who needs help and attention. Thanks Alanna! Thanks Advantage Physiotherapyphy!

No consideration for mental health, or low income patients whatsoever. Worst customer service (at both this location and their sister clinic)I'm a 31 year old suffering from bi polar and degenerative disk disease.Ontario Disability Support Program will not cover treatment, and holding the monopoly on OHIP funded physio, Advantage decides who gets in the door. An unexpected missed appointment fee of $80 is more than I am able to afford.I walked down in person because staff refused to communicate via email as requested on the patient information form (as I don't have a phone). I offered my apologies, and explained the reason I believe a missed appointment fee to be extortion. The receptionist refused to accept 8 $10 post dated cheques I offered as my only feasible option. I was told to wait until the manager returned, and a month later, Sue suggested I save up.. kind of hard to do when living BELOW THE POVERTY LINE AFTER BEING ASSAULTED BY THE POLICE, AND HAVING FALSE ALLEGATIONS PREVENTING ME FROM OBTAINING GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT... there is no treatment for my PTSD available, victims services don't support victims of police violence (it would be a conflict of interest, as they work with the police) and criminal injuries compensation accepts the perception of the officers who assaulted me, even though there is surveillance video which contradicts their alternative factsSo much for healing and moving on.....

I've been there 6 times over the past 3 weeks. Every appointment has been on time. Nothing more frustrating than to be on time only to have to wait for 45 min!The staff here are all very knowledgeable and answer my questions with patience and in a way I can understand. The homework" and exercises are always demonstrated and well explained.During my time here I've only experienced encouragement and helpfulness from all staff members. Staff work together as a team

Very knowledgable and professional staff. I've recommended Advantage to the people I curl and play ball with. When it came time for my dad to need physiotherapy, I sent him here and he received amazing care. If you want excellent care and to support a small business that has a long history of happy clients in K-W, then look no further.
