Battle Of The Chateauguay National Historic Site
The site is hard to see what/where the battle actually happened. There is a display model that lights up but it is 3 floors up and hard to access.

Battle Of The Chateauguay National Historic Site
Small but comprehensive museum dedicated to a battle of the War of 1812 that lasted one day. The guided tour was in-depth and enthusiastic. Not obvious from the outside is that there is an overlook from the top floor with a narrated, 3D recreation of the battle site. No indoor washroom.

Small interpretative centre, but staff provide an excellent tour with an explanation of the War of 1812 and the battle here. Battle not contained to one area, so you have to drive along the main road to markers. Markers are small and need to be bigger.

This site is definitely underestimated. It was so interesting for us and even for our 5 years old son. They have educational activities for children, but they were challenging even for adults :) . Children can wear costumes, which is pretty unique. And don't miss chess, our son was touched by this game.

Nothing there, not even a plaque telling what happened! They're is a small building that says opening next spring, but spring is just finishing so not sure which spring they mean!

Little hidden, but important place for Canadian history! Very nice small history exhibition. Enthusiastic and helpful staff! Recommended!

We really liked this P.C. visitor center.The people working here were helpful and did not seem to be as new as all the other Parks Canada staff weve met so far. The majority seem to be kids that don't know what they're doing.Here we found to separate staff members who were engaging and helpful in informing us and our children of the importance of the Battle of Chateauguay.Glad we visited. A little short on details which seems to be a theme at most of the Canadian Parks.
