I have been practicing yoga at the Sivananda Centre for about three months now. All of the staff are friendly, on name basis making you feel welcome. They are very accommodating and flexible with the passes. I do recommend buying the pass and attend as often as you can. I learn how to meditate/do breath work correctly, didn't manage to attempt the headstand but they do offer variation classes. The centre focuses on the five points of yoga, teaching Hatha yoga-traditional form. I will definitely return when i am back in the city.

The sivanandayoga Toronto center is peaceful, calmness and a lot of energy! You will feel good energy from this place. They flow to teach traditional Hatha Yoga. It's simple and deep. Also there are many kind of the work shop. I feel happiness when I'm here.

I've been going for 5+ years, they are a great studio with well-trained teachers and a thoughtful yoga practice. The focus is on keeping a still mind while performing the 12 basic asanas for a 1.5 hour class. It's great for any level because it's non-judgemental and there's no expectation that you have to do all asanas to the maximum level. They offer an introductory class for free so you can try for yourself and see if it's right for you.

They teach yoga in the traditional holistic way - not just as an exercise like a lot of yoga studios". No need for experience - they meet you where are mentally and physically. I'd recommend doing the yoga 1 course to begin. All teachers are very experienced and are all volunteers! Great community. Costs are very nominal too."

I attended the Introduction to Yoga (Yoga 1) at Sivananda Yoga Centre Toronto, the class was taken by teacher Madhava.I really enjoyed the class, because I got an introduction to theasanas, breathing exercises, and Surya Namaskaram. I also learned the main 5 points: proper Diet, proper exercises, proper relaxation, proper breathing and positive thinking and meditation. The classes made me feel calm, relaxed and peaceful. I will share this with my friends at school.Stavya Lakshminarayanan

OMThe Mansfield Outdoor Centre fall retreat was perfect! I loved the vibe and beautiful atmosphere with an aurora of great people. Perfect place to clear the mind and meet new friends. I loved how this yoga retreat brings everyone together no matter how long you have been practicing. We had helpful, knowledgeable teachers and excellent teachings. Thanks to all our teachers! The food was amazing and exploring the property was so cool. I highly recommend Sivananda Toronto’s yoga retreats to anyone, you can be a beginner looking to learn more about yoga and meditation or an experienced yogi who wants to further their practices.Om Nama SivayaSivakami

I love the authenticity of the institute, the teachers, and the staff. Miss a few classes for an urgency you have to deal with and the teachers will actively follow-up with you if you want to retake the class. Now that's the kindness we all deserve!I took yoga and meditation for beginner classes. I am a bit too overweight to do the yoga properly but Anantya still helped me modify my poses so that I can benefit from the practise. And it has been a really great journey with Saraswathi on the meditation practise. The mantras, the philosophy she teaches as well as the answers you get to your questions left me deeply satisfied. Will return for meditation 2 once those classes start.

If you are on a self-awareness/self-help/spiritual journey in the GTA, you must stop by the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre. It's a high vibrational space tucked in the midst of a bustling area, where everyone has a smile on their face.I first stepped foot in the centre on April 30 for a beginner's yoga class. Within two months, I started to get up at 5 am every day to do yoga (which resolved a long-standing health complication), learned about ancient texts and scriptures about the mind and the power of our thoughts, explored meditation more deeply, delved into karmic astrology and the Vedas, and had some fascinating and introspective conversations about the self with teachers and fellow students. The Sivananda philosophy and approach is holistic and authentic, and each teacher there reflects the organization's core values. The teachers there are very kind and attentive, irrespective of the class size and disposition, and you can tell they have mastery over their subjects. I can say so because of the number of workshops and lessons I have attended over the last two months! Special shout out to Anantya, Nalini, and Saraswathi, with whom I have had more frequent interactions and who have always patiently answered all my questions with great depth and wisdom.

Excellent centre which teaches yoga and meditation in a classical way. I went there for the beginners yoga class as well as the meditation class. Both instructors Nalini and Saraswati are very knowledgeable. The pace is perfect with adequate breaks (savasana) in-between the yoga poses. You learn pranayama / kapalbhati as well which is great for mental health. In the meditation class, you learn mantras and focusing on breath & thoughts. Yoga has been monetized by many other organizations beyond belief but Sivananda yoga keeps the pricing very reasonable.
