QUASSICA Piano Lessons

Our son's progress in piano with Dimitar at Quassica over the last 15 months has been very positive. It is great to see someone who truly cares about music education for his students in this day and age of diminishing music programs. He is able to convey his vast musical knowledge in a firm, but understandable way to our son, with just a touch of wit and positive reinforcement to keep him confident in his progress.Highly recommended.Further to my above review from 3 years ago, I still stand by my positive review for Quassica. Dimitar has engaged my son further, allowing him to learn personal, favourite songs, especially piano arrangements of Beatles songs. But all of this comes after he continues to learn the core curriculum for the current RCM level he is working on. My son is about to take his level 3 RCM exam next month. He achieved Honours with Distinction and Honours as results, respectively, for his first two RCM level exams, and a very large part of that is a result of Dimitar's work with him, giving confidence and praise to continue on his musical path.Dimitar continues to keep things interesting for all the students. He continues to host the monthly Master Class, where all students perform their current work with each other in a non-judegmental environment, thereby reducing anxiety when perfoming in front of others. This past Christmas, he also gave students the opportunity to have their Christmas recital song selections recorded in a professional studio as, yet, another way to keep students engaged and interested in their musical journey, regardless of skill level.Still highly recommended.

My son and my daughter learned piano here over 1 year . both of them improved so much and love the piano

Dimitar is such an amazing and knowledgeable piano teacher who teaches in a way to help student to develop interest in learning and love music. My daughter has been learning from him for 2.5 years. She not only advanced from RCM level1 to level6 but also achieved Hornous with Distinction on her level5 test. In recent Provinical musical Festival, my daughter was awarded 3rd place in the whole Ontario level5 competition.I can not thank enough to Dimitar as he truly guided and made my daughter develop interest and passion on music and love playing piano more and more.In Quassica stuido, we have monthly master class from which students can listen and learn from each other. Also it has summer and winter recital which help students to gain stage performance experience.Highly recommended Dimitar to be your piano teacher.

I have taken lessons with Dimitar at Quassica for more than a year now, and I've had my children move over from their teacher, too.I've love the lessons. Dimitar is knowledgeable, personable, interesting and interested in what you learn. He strikes great balances between all kinds of teaching elements. He's great at explaining but doesn't over-explain. He'll show you a passage, but he won't tell you his way is the only way to play it. He balances praise with pushing for better results. And much more.Above all, I've learned a ton working with him, and my children have learned more in a few months than they learned in a year with a prior teacher. (And they still think Dimitar is great!)Absolutely recommended!(And we're still doing lessons over Zoom during lockdown, which I'm so grateful for.)
