We had a fantastic experience with the Jade team [Jenny and Dawn]. I can't imagine going another route than with the support of them as midwives. We felt emotionally and physically supported from when we enrolled at 12ish weeks until our 6 week pp visit. We had hoped for a home water birth but ended up at Burnaby General due to some complications. Dawn helped us understand all the options as the labour progressed and supported out holistic approach. She stayed by my side as I went into surgery and made sure we were looked after all the way until we were checked into our post delivery room.I cannot recommend Pomegranate enough ♡

First time mom and great experience here as well. I can’t thank the Jade Team (Jenny & Dawn) enough. They listened to my birth plan/wishes/concerns, assisted me tremendously through my unmedicated birth and my breastfeeding journey. I always got my ultrasound and blood test results quickly from them. Admin is very efficient and responsive as well and I never had any issues getting appointments on time. I will be recommending this practice and the Jade team to all the other expecting moms I know.

We chose Pomegranate because they were attentive, had a holistic approach to birth, paid attention to detail, prioritized informed consent, and showed patience to me being a first-time mom wanting a no-intervention home birth. And throughout my pregnancy, birth experience, and the 6-weeks post birth, we felt that all these important things met and exceeded our expectations.I am definitely going to be going with Pomegranate again, should we choose to have more kids. And I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a non-intrusive, kind, holistic, knowledgeable & experienced midwifery team.

Loved my experience with the midwives here (specifically the brown team as it used to be called)! Delivered my first two babies with them (in 2018 and 2021). Despite having complications in both pregnancies, the midwives were super supportive/caring, provided all the information I needed, and always put me at ease. There was clear and transparent communication, and referrals to OBs, extra monitoring, etc. were actioned and scheduled on my behalf in a timely and efficient manner. Special shout out to Jenn N., Leah, Amanda, and Beth!!!!! Such wonderful and knowledgeable women. The front desk staff were organized as well.Decided to try out another midwife closer to home for my third/current pregnancy and it was a night and day experience compared to Pomegranate. Made the hard decision to switch to another care provider at 30 weeks pregnant as the midwife was incompetent, non-caring, provided little information, and had little bedside manner. You will likely be in good hands with Pomegranate!

I just didn’t even know what a wonderful thing I was doing when I chose Pomegranate Midwives. I am so incredibly grateful for the care I have received from Dawn and Jenny of the Jade team. They have been so supportive through every step of the way and helped guide me through some odd occurrences that happened during my pregnancy. Jenny was there promptly for my birth and such an incredible support even in the middle of the night when my son decided to enter the world. The home visits post birth have also been such a huge gift. I can’t imagine having to have left home with my newborn right away. Anyways. I could go on and on. Just hoping to give some other moms peace about choosing these midwives. They are absolutely wonderful. Thank you Jenny and Dawn!! ❤️❤️❤️

My prenatal care/birth/postpartum care with Pomegranate was amazing. I honestly can’t believe I’m saying that about giving birth (since I was definitely a bit terrified before) but that’s the difference great midwives can have! I had the Jade Team (Jenny/Dawn) and they made me feel so supported, empowered and cared through every step of the process. Even their 4th midwifery student was an absolute rockstar (someone hire Sharlene ASAP!). The postpartum visits at home were so helpful for a first time mom. Getting support in your own space is so much better than discussing in a doctors office. I’ll be referring Jade team to every 1st time mom I know. Thank you so much for everything!

Great experience here. The team is attentive, knowledgeable, respectful and thorough. You have the option of a hospital birth, but utilizing a midwife provides more 1-1 support during pregnancy and after birth, even during a pandemic. A midwife has you and your baby’s best interests in mind vs seeing you as a number. Note that you do not work with one specific midwife, but a team of midwives. You get to know them all and one of them will deliver your baby, depending on who is on call that night.

Imagine the feeling of being told you are having a girl ( through genetic testing) at 12 weeks…. Four weeks later you are at an appointment with your midwife and making conversations about having a girl….. midwife looks at you and says “ umm you aren’t having a girl” ….. after some digging the midwife realizes one of her colleagues read the genetic test wrong, instead she read my gender. For four weeks I grew attached to the baby “girl” I thought I was having. I cried and mourned in that office…. How does someone read the patients gender instead of the baby. I had a boy which I’m so thankful for but that was pretty awful.I also found their knowledge was limited in some normal pregnancy related questions.I did switch clinics later in my pregnancy which I’m glad I did because my experience elsewhere was much better. This happened a few years ago but it still haunts me how careless someone could be. The midwife did apologize and say to me “ I am human too”That didn’t sit well with me,

Personalized, holistic care for me and the baby throughout the pregancy, birth ans postpartum. The Jade team is fantastic (Jenny, Dawn and student midwife Sharlene)!I appreciated the client-led approach and the space for questions - I always had way too many of them. The Jade  midwives had a vast knowledge and experience, as well as the patience to talk everything through with me. I was promptly referred to a obgyn and a pediatrician when needed. My midwife remained with me and greatly supported me even when I ended up having a c-section. And then the postpartum home visits and breastfeeding support are maybe the best part - my midwives checked on baby's weight gain and well-being a lot.It was so reassuring to know that there is always someone whom I can reach and I felt that they genuinely cared about me. I really needed that as a first-time anxious mom with history of infertility. I have been telling everyone in my life about this beautiful experience, and I highly recommend the Pomegranate midwives and the Jade team to other expectant families.

Hey, I was matched with the Jade team and worked with Dawn. She was professional and informative. Unfortunately midway through my pregnancy I moved and switched to a closer care provider, she has still remained in communication when needed and has helped me have a seamless transitionThanks Dawn!
