Straight by Tina Lee

I’ve been a loyal customer of this salon for 2 years now receiving Japanese straightening. Tina and her stylists run a very tight ship and always deliver. Stylists are always very attentive and know exactly what they’re doing. I am someone who has naturally thick, fairly curly and frizzy coarse hair and I always leave with absolutely silky smooth permanently straight results. The service offered at this salon has been life changing for me. Tina is absolutely lovely and also makes a point to only hire senior stylists so you know that no matter who you are with you will receive great results. Could not recommend enough.

When I first moved to Vancouver in 2019, I was worried about all the rain and my hair being frizzy all the time, so I sought out Tina’s salon for hair straightening. I’d had this process done before in Japan and knew what to expect.Tina and her team were great! Since that first appointment, I’ve returned every 7-8 weeks for colouring my grey roots and for haircuts. I’ve tried a Keratin treatment as my permanent straightening grew out. And I’ve brought my daughter in for cuts as well. I’ve always been treated so well. Tina and her team provide great service always (scalp massages and hair washing is the best!) When I brought my daughter in for a cut they styled her hair too. My daughter has very thick hair and they only charged her a kids cut price, which was incredibly generous.Highly recommend this salon!

I have always been insecure about my hair. Everything from how badly it’s been thinning throughout the years, damaged texture, frizzy wavy, just all in all bad hair.I first visited Tina Lee for a new treatment I researched called “Hair Botox”. This treatment made more of a difference than any prior treatments I’ve ever had (which says a lot because I’ve done it all!). I’ve never had such soft and shiny hair in my life!Unfortunately no treatment can make my hair long and thick.THEN I learned Tina Lee ALSO provides a very unique, hard to find, hair extension technique called the Korean pinch braid. She had a colour that matched me to a T in stock and everything!! This is 100% human hair!The best thing I’ve done to help my self confidence was visiting Tina Lee! SO kind, honest, professional, accommodating, and absolute top-notch quality! I can’t wait for my next appointment! Thank you so much Tina!!

Tina is so sweet and an expert in her field. I love how she genuinely wants her clients to feel great and doesn’t push products or services on you. She is extremely professional and is so respectful of your time. I was most impressed by her great communication! She will get back to you right away and will also check in on you to see if she can help with anything post-visit. Love her salon!

I spent $600 on my hair keratin and shampoo knowing my life is gonna be easier at least for a few months. Every time I used to do keratin washing my hair was easier but to be honest I haven't felt any difference this time I have such a hard time washing and combing my hair after shower which usually after keratin I had such an easy time washing and combing. This time even my roots are still curly. My hair is still fuzzy , and looks more damaged, it's not even %50 the result I was looking for. I honestly don’t think she used a good quality product on my hair and I'm really sad that this treatment didn't work. I'm single and have no support every dollar counts for me. I'm upset that I spent $600 for this result. I wish she could have told me before we even started that might not work. She asked me to go back for second treatment and now my hair looks more damaged and more curly this time. I asked if she can refund the full charge or at least a portion of it now that I did not get the result. She refused and never responded back again. It was only fair if she would at least accept to refund a portion of the charge as even someone doesn’t know anything about hair treatment can easily tell this treatment didn’t work and even damaged my hair. I was saving money for months to do this treatment and was so excited to try new salon with Tina but I’m extremely disappointed.

Tina’s service is amazing, she is so friendly and hospitable, and she really makes you feel at home when you are at the salon! I got a perm touch up and she made it look very natural, She is very skilled with what she does!

I had a very pleasant experience with Tina and Li. They were both super friendly and Li did an amazing job with my cut and colour! They offered me drinks and snacks to have while getting my hair done. I would definitely recommend this salon!

The lady that did my hair was super sweet! She did an amazing job with doing my hair and it came out really well. These ladies’ definitely know what they’re doing and I will definitely return with them soon again
