Very cool library, you can visit but you can't go and touch the books, because they are special and unique you need to request an appointment and someone of the staff will help you. Anyway we were lucky and have a tiny exhibition of old books.

Definitely worth a visit. A little hard to find the door to get in, as many entrances were closed.

If you want to check out some Medieval manuscripts and experience what it’s like to be in a library from that of Harry Potter, U of T’s Thomas Fisher library would satisfy your interests.

This amazing place to open to the public, and oh what a wonder it is. There are so many rare books in this library, with even an open display case of what I think are some of its rarest finds. Thanks to my tour guide Emma, she even pointed out more fun facts others wouldn't have found out about. I would recommend a tour not only here, but throughout campus.

Now open to the public, the fisher rare book library is a treat for bibliophile’s. Its cathedral like interior mirrors the homage books of this calibre should receive. The library’s turkey like exterior parallels for me a hunger for knowledge. Highly recommend both in spring to see the cherry blossoms near the library but also anytime to see the library itself.

I was here a few weeks ago for the Faculty of Information showcase week and it was the coolest place I have ever been to. Ever. Like there is absolutely no comparison to walking into this building and see the shelves upon shelves upon shelves of rich history they have. That and the staff (I’m sorry I forgot your names but you were lovely!) were extremely kind and patient with our tour group and so happy to answer questions. I can’t wait to spend more time here when I’m a student.

This was so cool to visit! As a big bookworm, I was really amazed by all the lovely literature around me, and the building itself was really architecturally interesting too.
