Whitewater Brewing Company - Lakeside

Stopped in here for dinner. There were two tables occupied, and a performer playing/singing way too loud. We couldn't eat because we didn't have a reservation (despite only two people there), but couldn't make one as they had stopped taking reservations for the evening (?). Saw some food comong out, so we went back the next day for lunch (unplanned, or we would have made a reservation), this time there was only ONE patron, and they begrudgingly seated us. Ordered the Burger and the fish tacos. The food took almost half an hour to come out. Burger was nicely presented, but served on a cutting board. I would have appreciated a plate. The buyer however was sad. Thin and overcooked, the bun was nice, but there was literally just a piece of lettuce on it. The fancy cheese, applied on the grill, had entirely melted off. The fries were nice looking, but dry and cool. The tacos looked good, but fell flat on taste. Not bad, but nothing to rave about.The beer this place makes is good, hence the two stars, but skip the dining experience. It's not worth it.

Excellent countryside restaurant and microbrewery!It is located in a small charming farmland community of Cobden, just off highway highway 17, close to some of the most amazing whitewater kayaking and rafting resources in the country, hence the name of the restaurant. :)The food was of excellent quality, service was quick and friendly, restaurant is tastefully decorated with a small shop inside for purchasing microbrewed beer and other local goodies. I was pleasantly surprised by not one but 2 Tesla charging stations in this restaurant. There is also a patio are on the side of the restaurant.Everything we ordered was delicious, particularly fish & chips and fish tacos. Beers were very good too, we had the Legion lager and Lemon & Lime lager, both were crisp and refreshing, perfect for a hot summer day.Recommend all the way!

Brunch starts at 11 on fathers day Sunday. The sign on every table says otherwise. No coconut water for mock tails. Only sourdough bread no rye. Just not a great first time experience. Espresso was not made properly.They then made us wait from 10:45 until 11:00 just to order, seemed petty. Just a side observation we were the only table of bipoc people on the restaurant they didn’t seem to give anyone else trouble ordering.Chicken club was dry and not worth ordering same with the chipotle beef burger, way over cooked. Full English served cold, ordered over hard eggs received them runny. Salad was mediocre. In short nothing on the menu was worth ordering.

Been here more than few times and food is always excellent. Tonight was probably just a rough night. But I ordered wings and poutine. When the wings showed up they told me my poutine was coming. When it didn’t show I asked about it. Waitress seemed surprised but it still never arrived. I wasn’t charged for it which is good but I would preferred getting what I asked for. We were fairly large group and it seemed we were ignored or at least not given the service we usually receive

The atmosphere was great, and their truffle fries are to die for, the drinks were great! I thought the addition of mango to the fish tacos was an interesting choice, but it worked well. The staff were lovely!

Let’s talk about server Erin…. Everything seems fine on my bill till I see she is charging me for Fries? But fries come with burgers there. When I tried to correct her she became aggressive and told me I was wrong but then when she really looked at the receipt she saw her mistake. She acted abruptly and stormed off when I was trying to talk to her. All I wanted was for her to admit her mistake and she wouldn’t. That’s not how you treat your customers Erin when we were being so nice. Good luck !

Stopped in for a nice dinner with my wife. We got greeted at the entrance by a fine young man. We decided to site outside on the patio, but all the available tables had not been cleaned so we decided to take an end and sit down. It then took 20 minutes before someone even asked if we wanted drinks. By that time we had looked over the menu online, so we went ahead and ordered. It then took 35 minutes for the food to arrive and once we start to eat we noticed that the food we ordered was missing bacon, lettuce cheese on our burger and chicken club sandwich. We then notified the waitress and we were then told that the menu had maybe changed…. It then took her an other 20 minutes waiting on the bill, so we just got up and went to the cash for check out.. Really not impressed with this restaurant that was once a superb spot to go and have great Meals…

My sister and I enjoy having lunch here. We really like the wings and salad. Erin is a great server! I have been here for breakfast as well. Jasmine is terrific too!

Had 2 piece fish and chips. It was really good but a lot of food. Next time I will probably get the 1 piece. The tartar sauce was some of the best tartar sauce I have ever had! The ketchup was also really good. I think both must have been made in house. They have some cool shirts for sale, especially for people who have just returned from a weekend/ day of paddling in Algonquin or on the Ottawa River which was my group and I! I will definitely return here after future canoe trips heading back to Ottawa.

Frustrating experience today trying to fill a growler I brought with me. Woman helping me had no idea how to ring it in, asked the kitchen manager who was also clueless. Ended up telling me to come back later when retail people were in because they had no idea how to ring it in. I'm not local so I didn't go back or purchase anything, slim chance of returning... train your staffThe only other experience there was on the patio. The server was extremely new, to the point that she told us it was her second shift ever serving. She was working a busy Saturday night alone. She received no visible help or had any support staff and tables were visibly angry. As a past server I pitied her. This place is a mess to put it lightly
