Sara’s Chair at the Onyx in Oakville is my and my teen daughter’s favourite spot to get our hair done. Sara is a wonderful professional as well as a courteous and mindful hair wizard. Our hair colours and cuts are amazing. Sara is always helpful and offers advice on hair care and offers tips on quick and cute hair styles. As a busy professional with equally busy teenager we are both grateful to be able to sit in Sara’s chair. Contact the Onyx and ask to see Sara, she will transform your hair and you will gain one more wonderful person to chat with.

I have gone to Sara for 3 very different appointments - haircut, full highlights, and styling for my wedding! She is so skilled and knowledgeable on how to maintain hair at home. She's also a lovely person to talk to and I highly recommend booking her at the Onyx :)

I was looking online for a stylist that works with curly hair for a while and came across Nicole on Instagram so I booked a consultation. She was awesome. She listened to my concerns and offered me advice on what colours would suit me. I’m very happy with my results. It was worth every penny! She is super sweet and professional. I also like that all the girls in the salon were friendly and I felt very comfortable. I can’t wait to come back and am looking forward to my next appointment.

Got my hair done by Nicole, she was very diligent and super informative on my hair type and she was very realistic on the options I had. She kept me laughing and made me feel very comfortable during my appointment. Nicole exceeded my expectations, my hair colour is amazing and can’t wait for my next appointment! Nicole has been doing my hair for over 2 years now - I get a full balayage once a year and a partial 1-2x/year. Comparing to places I've gone before, my hair feels soft and less damaged. For the service she provides, she is very reasonably priced. Love going to Nicole!

The Onyx is a wonderful salon. All the staff are friendly and welcoming as if you are family. Sheri, my stylist is amazing. There is nothing she can’t do with hair. She spends a lot of time discussing your hair, what can be done and how much time you are able to spend on it. You leave the salon feeling like a million dollars!

Maryanne has been cutting and highlighting my hair for at least 10 years. She is very talented and knowledgeable. I love the Davines product line she uses on my hair, both the colouring products and shampoos are amazing. My hair is very soft and healthy. I often get stopped and asked about my hair and where I get it done. I would definitely recommend Maryanne and the Lounge Salon.
