Really crispy fried Katsu. A variety of dishes that were all served to the table by a friendly staff that was very accommodating. The dishes all had their own distinct flavours that were not oily or greasy at all. The shrimp and squid were cooked very well and didn't seem tough or rubbery in any way. Was definitely a nice place to stumble across and would return if in the area without hesitation.

Can't go wrong with a decent Tonkatsu and this location serves a great one. There's hooks on the walls to set your coat/bag as needed.Once I was seated, it was quite easy to determine that the Tonkatsu set is the way to go. I got mine with the soba addition and if you're hungry that's a good option. The noodles were tasty, and the broth had that red spice added to it that was not very hot but gave a nice punch of flavor. The set itself is delicious. I got the pork and cheese, and in retrospect I think I should have went for the non-cheese one instead. It was tasty, but can be quite heavy. The cabbage has a bottle of sauce that can be added to it that gives it a nice fruity citrusy taste. By the end of it I had eaten up the entirety of the cabbage with enthusiasm. The miso soup was nice as well, a great way to flush out the greasiness of the tonkatsu after eating. This is a nice restaurant that I can absolutely recommend.

Mr. Tonkatsu is a restaurant chain that specializes in one thing: Katsu, the breaded pork or chicken or shrimp. The pork was deep fried in fresh clean oil (as opposed to overused old oil) and the breading was light and fluffy. We had one of the best Katsu dons in the city during that visit.

Really good tonkatsu. I had the pork loin with cheese katsu. The skin was really crispy, the meat tender and juicy, and the melted light cheese added extra flavour. This dish was also served with rice, miso soup, tonkatsu sauce with sesame seeds you grind yourself, and shredded cabbage with a sweet and sour vinaigrette.I also had the crispy chicken thigh. Again, the meat was tender and juicy, the skin crispy, and there was also mustard added in with the meat for extra flavour.Overall, a really satisfying fried meal.

Decent place - like the vibe of the place, friendly staff, the pork chop was juicy, portion was a bit too small though

The Toronto area has a lot of Japanese food places to choose from, but I was on a mission to find some Tonkatsu for my birthday. There’s municipal parking for $4$Can/hr right down the road.I am so happy we stopped in for dinner! It’s hard to find a Japanese eatery outside of Japan that gives you a cabbage salad. I was excited to see that!Having had authentic Japanese in Japan, I was very very pleased to encounter true Japanese Katsu! Hire Katsu is the most tender cut, and their best seller. Everything was oishi. I just wish America had something even close to this.

First time delivery (previously dined in). Impressed with the consistency. Despite the 40mins it took for the order to be delivered, food was still warm and did not get soggy. Pork cutlet portion was comparatively smaller this time. 9/10 would recommend if you’re in the mood for katsu

This small Japanese-style restaurant is near Bathurst station and the staff are very friendly there :-)I ordered Chicken cheese curry. Though I don't like spick food before, I could still enjoy this curry with the fried chicken! I love this combination and they are sooooo delicious! By the way, I ordered one extra egg with this meal. If you eat by yourself, this would be your first choice, and it will fill your stomach. I would recommend this curry if you never try before!Chicken Cheese Curry $18.80 CADEgg $1.50 CADTotal (including tax but not including tips) $22.94 CAD

Very good price for donkatsu. $10 for take out. Portion is small compare to Katsuya, but it is enough for a meal. Katsuya is too much food. It didn't came with sauce. But has a miso soup. Rich is decent, much better than the hard as rock rice from Katsuya.

I was surprised at the quality of food.Despite ordering a delivery, it was still crispy when I got it, and the sauce is delicious. This place would be literally perfect if they offered cheese katsu only or pork loin katsu only with soba. Unfortunately, cheese katsu or katsu menu with soba can only be ordered in a set menu with rice and salad.
