From the parking lot the trail is marked the whole way! The down hill path is all down hill, slippery and middy!! The water fall is beautiful but the way back up is definitely a work out!!! 0% cell service the hole way! I myself am a firefighter and would hate to see anyone with bad health, get stuck here!!!

Definitely not for beginner hikers. Very steep decline to get to it. Some brave soul has made a set of steps at one part but the rest either has ropes or nothing. Big rocks at the falls but very beautiful. Great place to swim when the water is warm.

These are our favorite falls to visit when in Cape Breton! Google maps will get you to the trail marker. The main path is quite steep so if you have knee issues it will be a slow go. Otherwise, take shoes, grab a bathing suit and enjoy a very chilly swim or just bask in the beauty of nature from the bottom, middle or top sections of the falls!

It is a short but steep hike from the parking. Be respectful of the place, since this is a private property. Let’s be thankful that the owners gave us the opportunity to see this amazing place. Pack in, pack out. But mostly, enjoy the view. It is definitely worth the hike.

This is a once in a lifetime waterfall.... I say this because even after experiencing the treacherous hike down and back up, I'd still do this at least once. This is not a hike for you if your ankles/knees are in bad shape. It is extremely steep going down and just as steep climbing up. There is a rope system at the middle part of the trail to help ensure you don't fall but I would be cautious on the trail especially if it is muddy/wet. The view though, is guaranteed worth it at least once. Give yourself at least 1 1/2 - 2 hours. When you are at what looks like a fork in the path, take a sharp right and follow the the orange markers on the tree. It's a bit of a zig zag way but definitely easier than going straight down. I recommend to take the same way back up as well. All in all, I would highly recommend experiencing this waterfall.

Roughly .7 km (1/2 mile) in on muddy, steep, trail. If you're prepared for a hike on slippery surface, this is the place. It's steep enough that they've added ropes to help pull you up and lower you down. No tickets needed. Free nature hike. Oh, and the dirt road into the trail head, is aweful.

What a place to visit! Getting to the trail for the falls is a drive up into the mountain. There is space for parking. The hike trail is very steep. The day I visited the trail was muddy so make sure you wear good hiking shoes. The falls themselves were gorgeous and worth the hike. The hike back up the hill is very strenuous so be prepared to get a serious cardio workout. The hike down took me 20-25 minutes and about 30-40 minutes hiking back up.

The falls are beautiful, but whatever group of people are working on the trail have completely ruined it. It used to be a beautiful, untouched trail with huge trees and now a bunch of it has been bulldozed to make a parking lot, there are wooden stairs in it, tons of mud everywhere from machinery and ugly spray painted signs everywhere. They've completely destroyed the trail.

What a beauty spot it's a bit steep but not too bad also would recommend good footwear especially if it had rained.
