Freson Bros. Sundre

Expensive. After IGA, Sobeys yet another management team. You need to be wealthy to buy produce. Some prices are ok at the back of the store. I only buy a few items there, costco or Walmart are more affordable and worth the extra gas.

Just moved to Sundre and was so disappointed with this grocery store. Produce was wilted and not fresh at all. Bakery cookies were dry. The deals on Western Family products were pretty good but I'll have to drive to Olds to go grocery shopping. Won't be buying anything from here except eggs and milk.

I love this grocery store. Great pre-made selection and bakery. Pricey, but convenient.All the staff I have had the pleasure of interacting with are so nice and friendly.

Uncompetitive, expensive, limited brand name products, limited bakery selection (compared to what it was),Grossly overpriced.This market is an oversized convenience store with convenience store prices. It is not remotely competitive for today's markets.************August Update: Price comparison on potatoe salad exact same brand and size; Walmart $5.47/each. No Frills $7.49, Freson Bros $13.99 with egg or without are the same price. (See photos)This is only one example of many I could come up with. How can Freson Brothers justify such a large difference? Sure we had to drive 25 minutes to Olds to get the better price, but we still purchased more with our limited budget and still saved money (including costs for gas).This store does not seem to care much about the higher prices in the community they serve as it is a monopoly market.________________Everything is at least 20% more expensive than competitors 25 minutes away in Olds.We have stopped shopping in your store for the most part and drive to Olds for 99% of our grocery needs. I believe in supporting local businesses but its just not economical to shop in this store.For all the other Google reviewers out there who are posting 5 stars, I honestly can't see how they say everything is awesome and price comparable because it really isn't. I have performed many product comparisons and they are still significantly higher.I do however agree the staff are wonderful and try their very best to provide quality Custer service.

Great meat counter and cheese selection for a rural grocery store. A bit pricey.

Prices are way too high. It’s worth the drive to olds. Service is terrible. I waited 5 mins at the service counter while the girl visited. I went to another till only to be told my gift card I wanted had to be purchased at the service counter. I left everything and walked out. I won’t be back. Iga was much better.

I really did try to give this store a chance, but I miss the old grocery store so much. There are some decent deals on meat, but everything else is crazy overpriced. Alongside that, my current gripe about the store is the horrendous selection at the deli. There is very little in the way of classic deli meats, and what is there is often subpar. The old store had a full case that offered huge variety.

SO expensive. I only shop here for milk and eggs and the like. I now go to Olds for most of my groceries. I was checking prices one day and Campbell's Tomato Soup was $21.99! The same case at Walmart was $10.99. There are NO excuses for this kind of price gouging. I feel terrible for those with low incomes and no way to get to Olds.

I only shop here if I absolutely have to! Quality of products seems decent, prices are ludicrous and the customer service is lacking. Out of all the times I have shopped here, I have only been greeted once. Walmart has better customer service, and prices!I feel a lot of us took IGA for granted, it felt like a much better atmosphere!
