The Plaice Bar & Grill
Might be a cool place to hang out with your buddies and have a beer, but not to eat. So greasy, poor quality undercooked. 4 meals we had and none enjoyed. The cleanliness is questionable, ketchup bottles were so disgusting, had to go to the washroom to wash hands after touching them before we ate…zero soap. I can’t get behind a food establishment that doesn’t have soap in the washrooms. Barf…how is the staff washing their hands?

The Plaice Bar & Grill
Had a great time at the Plaice. They had a live band (Red Light District), and they were amazing. Played tons of sing along tunes. Service was excellent. Even though it busy they checked on us multiple times. Food was tasty but the mozzarella sticks were undercooked so the cheese was a little stiff but tasty non the less, sweet potato fries were perfect, and the burger was tasty but overcooked a bit. If the food was perfectly done it would have been 5 stars because the taste was excellent.

Not happy with the original kraft BBQ to start and the 5 lbs of wings that I've had to take back twice under cooked didn't remake them they just put back in with the sauce so they went black and they were given back to me what a waist of 70$ I still had to go home and do some thing with them to make them edible horrible... they need to invest in some REAL COOKS NOT bunch of kids with the owners cooking total let down 70$ and still can't eat thanks guys great service I'd advise on skipping that disaster waist of money there last time I drop a dime there

Waited over 30 mins for a server totally get it was busy but its not a large restaurant. Then watched 2 tables that came in after us get served and eat before anyone came to our table. This place needs either better servers or more. Food was ok. Think we will stick to the beacon. Acknowledging customers is definitely key.

Came for lunch on a Saturday. Music isnt too loud, service is absolutely fantastic. Ordered fish and chips as well as poutine. Excellent value and portion sizes!

Fish and chips were spot on, but while the classic poutine was good, there was way too much gravy at the bottom of the bowl. Maybe serve it in a more shallow dish to spread it eventually. It did taste good though, so no complaints there. Lovely staff and just an all 'round nice place to grab lunch :)

My husband and I came to Fort Erie for a wedding and picked the Plaice as our first night's dinner. We ordered the wings, veggies and blue cheese, and fries. Love that they're skin on fries! The blue cheese was amazing! We ordered 1lb honey garlic and 1lb mild. Both very good. The mild has a nice flavour to it with a little zing. The honey garlic had a good taste, too. Not too sticky and very savoury. The wings were crispy in all the right places. The server was kind, and even though we didn't order any drinks, she was very attentive to all the other guests there. Going to convince the hubby to pick some to go wings up on the way home! I want to try their medium!
