My family & I have been coming here for over 20 years (and we live in Seattle now, but make sure to stop by anytime we visit Vancouver).Admittedly, it’s not what it once was! The space hasn’t been well maintained and a lot of the tables are worse for wear, and prices have gone up significantly (thought that’s the case with everything with inflation these days). Despite that, the food is tasty, portions are hearty, it retains some authenticity, and food is usually served quickly!Service can be a bit hit or miss, but the upside is these days there’s never a wait out the door and down the block like there once way!Normally order the chicken souvlaki & it’s reliably tasty!

I have waited for this like 15yrs since I was in Toronto. Absolutely worth trying if you are in the neighborhood. The lamb souvlaki was so tender and had no lamb scent in the meat. The server was kind and the place was clean.

Stepho’s has been a mainstay in Vancouver for many years. Even today they still provide great portions while charging a reasonable price. The food is great and the ambiance is comfortable.We ordered the roast lamb platter and the garlic prawns. Both were very good portions and were nicely seasoned. The lamb was so tender it just fell off the bone.Our waiter was friendly and the environment made it easy to have a conversation at our table without competing with lots of background noise.Stepho’s is a good place to go for small or large gatherings. If you are looking for some good Greek food, you really can’t go wrong here.

I enjoyed the Roast Lamb dish. I'd get that again.The Moussaka was pitiful. I'll tell you why.I don't know why our Moussaka had zucchini in it. Moussaka is made with eggplant not zucchini (see pic). Maybe they ran out of eggplants....I don't know, but that with how dry the dish was....it was a real mess of a dish. So much so, that I think my best friend's grandmother, who is very Greek would've definitely thrown the dish at someone's direction. Oh...and you spell Moussaka with two s's....might wanna get that fixed on the menu.Everything else tasted fine.So, yeah...that's about it....maybe just stay away from the Moussaka.

Stepho's is a nice cozy place to try. To be honest, I didn't find anything very special, but for one time experience, I'd say I looked it. The food quality was normal, but the portion was big! They do Naan which is nice! However, the rice was mediocre! I am a fan of Kalamari, but theirs is not that good!

Been consistently coming back here for while now and pleased to see their portions haven't decreased over the years and the taste of their food has stayed consistent. Good price for the huge portions! I like how crunchy their kalamari is. Friendly and funny waiters!Parking can sometimes be difficult when it's busy though and if you come in groups, the tables feel very cramped.

We have been coming here for almost 20 years now. Every time we visit Vancouver from Seattle we eat here at least once sometimes more. Love the chicken souvlaki plate with rice, potatoes, Greek salad, pits and tzatziki sauce. Yummm every time. Go during off hours to avoid the wait or order take out. There is very limited parking in back via the alley or you will have to search a bit for pay street parking. Totally worth it to us.

I remember this restaurant when they had long lines lasting for hours. Today the lines are gone and the food is way better. Visit this place again and you will be surprised. We ordered the roast lamb and the moussaka. Delicious!

Our go to place to when visitors come to Vancouver. Large portions and you can be sure to share the calamari dinner with someone as I can guarantee one person alone would not be able to finish it on their own. You can always expect to take home left overs. The roast lamb is always my recommendation or the lamb chops - they never disappoint. They are always consistent with their portions and rich flavours. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to tourists as this is something most locals would go to for Greek food in downtown.
