A Latino friend of my mine brought me here. This store offers a variety of foods from all over South America. The stores operated be these adorable little Latino aunties. These are not gourmet super seasoned tacos but from my Latino sources they mention this is as authentic as it gets. I’ve never been to SA so I’ll take their word. To me it tastes ok.

Ordered the torta and the tamales. Torta was lacking flavour and had more bun than anything else. I can't even .. say how flavorless and just unappetizing the tamales were. The coke we had was the only reason to go back

We walked in and out of 3 staff members, not one greeted us and appeared 100% uninterested in being helpful. The table had to be wiped before we sat down as none were clean. We had to ask for it to be wiped down. When paying (before we sat down) it asked for a tip. Why would I tip for this gonzo experience? Also, by our table was a cart full of bus trays full of dirty dishes and containers. If the food offset the service and atmosphere of disregard there would be another star or two. It did not. My partner ordered and had two bites of the beef quesadilla and stopped. It dripped fluid and was just so unappetizing. To top off the experience it caused prolonged intestinal distress. Do not recommend this place.

I don't know about you but what I'm looking for a Mexican fix I am looking for fresh and authentic. The tacos and tamales were fantastic, however the lack of suggestions from the staff regarding chips and Pico, or guac left us feeling a little bit empty for that true Mexican flavor. That lost a half a star for us, the other half is star was lost for the fact that we were there on a Sunday afternoon, and the ambiance was lacking because of the very large television in the eating area with the news on. My daughter wanted me to note that the horchata was the best that she ever had. 9 tacos a tamale platter, kids burrito meal, 2 beers and 2 drinks for the kids set us back 71 bucks.

One of the worst Mexican restaurants we have eaten at in Calgary. The guacamole was watery and brown and had no taste. The chicken tacos were bland. The tamales were ok but were inconsistently heated. The service is non existent. There are far better options in Calgary.

The interior was dull, dingy, and had the vibe of being on an episode of Kitchen Nightmres. The menu was mounted on corrugated plastic and looked like it hadn't been updated in 15 years.We had high hopes that it would be fresh, vibrant, and flavorful as one would expect from Mexican cuisine. On top of that, they boasted a best restaurant award from 2012; sadly, that may have been the last time their food was not of a standard worthy of peoples money.We had the chorizo torta, and it was more bread than anything. The chorizo was dry and mealy, and the sandwich lacked any sort of flavor.We had never had tamales before, but I refuse to believe they are supposed to be flavorless. The masa was doughy and yet hard and chewy. The pork inside was bland and very dry. Its like they were premade, frozen, and then heated in a microwave. There was very little sauce on top and the sauce that was tasted like canned tomato sauce. The refried beans that accompanied lacked texture, the color was that of mud, and again, the common theme, bland. They lacked any flavor.We wanted it to be a great experience, but it was not. I hope they read these reviews and take them to heart to improve their cuisine. With so many great restaurants in such a small area, being sub-par is not going to keep the doors open.

I wish there was a zero or negative rating option here. The WORST Mexican food ever. People have been paid for reviews at the store. The store stinks, the people are rude and everything is overpriced. We never felt welcomed there. Folks, PLEASE do not overhype this store and mislead everyone. We ordered chicken tacos and they were bland. They tasted gross. The salsa was $8 and was a fricking small cup filled with water and cabbage. The nachos were filled with oil and tasted so bad. I've never seen something so ridiculous like this. Please do not get misleaded by the ratings. Please DO NOT VISIT THIS STORE FOR ANY AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD.

I was there for a short pit stop" today and the food and service is really good!I am 100mexican and the flavors were almost as good as back home! (Ingredients can make it though) LOVED IT!! will definitely go back!!"

We waited about half an hour for our food, but it was around closing time with a few orders ahead of us, so it's understandable. Otherwise, the food was delicious, presentation was amazing even in to-go containers, and the staff were friendly. Will definitely be a repeat customer and recommend to friends.

I have visited this place many times over a few years, the best thing about this place is everything is simple and affordable. For example, 1 taco is $2.9 here, other place, I’d say $5 in average. For tacos, they give double tortilla and so so amount of meat fillings. They have steak, beef, pork, chicken and beef tongue. I usually get beef one, beef tongue is interesting but it is really soft and bland. Chicken is very bland too, you’d wanna put a lot of salsa. Every time I try their taco, my tortilla gets soggy and break apart by juice from the meat, even though they give me 2 tortillas. I recommend you eating fast. I have never tried other menus, they actually have wide range of menu, I’d love to try their soups! One of the time I visited, they had large group of customer and everyone was vegetarian, they were very kind and helpful with dietary needs, their service is very good!
