Photos Unlimited Portrait Studios

Signed up to take part in an event they were going to do at transfer beach in Ladysmith. when it came to the day of the event, we showed up at the location and couldn't find the photographer. We called photos unlimited to ask where we could the them, and they didn't know and said the photographer should have contacted us. So she gave us the photographers # so we could contact them since they hadn't, however the photographer wasn't answering their phone and when we called photos unlimited again, we went to voice mail and had officially missed the time we signed up for trying to find the photographer, and wasted our time and gas doing so. I will say that I don't see myself ever booking with them again unless they are the only photographers left on Vancouver Island, and even then I may opt. for something/someone else. The whole situation could have been avoided if they had planned things much better, and made sure their photographer would actually be where people could find them, or even contact the people who booked like they were supposed to.

Very unhappy with the quality of the pictures. They are really dark, the photographer did not give direction as to stand closer or fix posture. She also gave no feed back on the poses to do, only did the ones that I had texted to her. That is the main reason you book with a professional. Cell phones take better quality pictures. I was told the pictures were suppose to be shadow pictures. They just look dark. Just looks like the flash was off and it was a poor quality camera. We also did pictures in studio and quality of those pictures are even worse as they are super dark. Option was between 2 backgrounds a black sheet or a white sheet. We did a few pictures with the white sheet and you see the wrinkles at the back. I told the staff working there the pictures are dark and I have to lighten and edit them on my own. I was told that I have a better quality photo editing system than them, but I have a basic HP laptop. The quality is not what you expect from a studio. I am embarrassed to show my family any of these pictures. I will be spending hours trying to just do basic edits to try to make them look somewhat good. Without edits none of the pictures are something I can enlarge.Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality of ths pictures. The process of setting up the 2 shoots and viewing the pictures was exhausting. It feels like a missed opportunity for my family to have these memories as I want to redo family pictures with a professional photographer.

Terrible customer service with the women answering the phone. We were simply trying to figure out how to properly download as the photos looked like they were taken with a potato and it was difficult to navigate there website but with the women answering the phone being rude from the get go, we hung up and had to figure it out ourselves. Photos weren't anything to shoot home about and with it being a photo shoot for our baby, we found it annoying how the photographer seemed more interested in taking pictures of our farm animals and the parents without the child in the pictures. A few photos that we ended up paying are torally unusable for anything. Wouldnt use again or recommend to anyone.

Awesome service , 5 minutes for passport photos . Didn't realize I was so photogenic.

Staff is fantastic! They have a great time with you. Creative ideas. They have a real horrible corporate district manager who is rude to customers and treats the studio staff horribly. It's a wonder anyone stays. Despite the poor working conditions the studio staff are courteous, friendly and polite. I hope they all find better jobs.
