Amazing! I have tried other “ curl” places. This is the first time I got a great cut. The highlights look natural and time was taken on how to maintain my curls. I am new to this curly hair journey. I think the basis is cut, products and techniques. All bases were covered. I look forward to the next time I go.

If you have curly hair, this is where you NEED to go!! Helena is so amazingly talented!! It’s been 30+yrs since I’ve had a good curly hair person! I will never leave her :) My teenage daughter also saw Helena and her hair has never looked so fabulous!!! Here are our pics!! My before and both of our after :)

Helen is very knowledgeable in the styling and care of curly hair. I recently moved up North and my hair dresser became far for me. I tried a couple of places, but had no luck, my curls lacked shape and luster.I got a dry cut and curly hair styling tutorial, and it was well worth it. My curls are revitalized and finally got some shape and texter back into my hair. I really recommend Helen to anyone, not just curly hair.

Unfortunately, my experience here was awful, from start to finish. I had been looking forward to meeting a new curly specialist, and ended up with a too-short mullet that was just embarassing.I booked my haircut appointment online through Helen's website. Got the appointment confirmation email, and the reminders too.When I reached out to ask a question about the appt, she had no record of my appointment and had already booked someone else in that spot (even though I was getting email reminders about it still?). Ok, fine, sometimes technology can get the best of us all. I agreed to an appt time later that evening.When I got there, I was asked to go back and sit in my car, in the rain and in the dark, while she finished with her previous client who came in for a cut but then wanted colour? After waiting 25 minutes, I was invited to come back in. Now, because she was running late for a dinner date, she rushed through the cut. I just wanted to get it reshaped, and agreed to 1 off (great!) but then she kept cutting

Helen was fabulous and so is her salon.... so pretty and so tailored to a personal experience! Helen very quickly made me feel comfortable and at ease... and for anyone with curly hair, you know, that it is not easy to feel comfortable when you are going to a salon... it takes a specialist to work with curls! Helen was confident and so knowledgeable. She was able to take my pandemic neglected curls and give them life again! So excited to continue working with Helen to build my hair into the curly mane I want it to be!

I had visited another curly hair salon yesterday and had my very long hair cut short. I was very unhappy when I left, and I did not want to go back to have the same person fix it. I found girlz with curlz on google, and thought I might give them a try. I called Helena and she was able to fit me in on extremely short notice. She worked her magic and made me fall in love with my new short hair. I am so happy that I finally found someone who understands how to cut curly hair!!!

I visited Helen’s salon to help me to care for my damaged curls. Helen was super patient and knowledgeable and walked me through how to wash my hair, which products are best for my curl patter, and how to style my hair to maintain my curls. She gave me a dry curl cut and I absolutely love it! This was one of my best experiences at a salon. I will definitely be going back. Thank you Helen!

Helena gave me the best haircut I've had in a long time...maybe ever! I have struggled for years with my thick, curly hair, and with stylists that didn't know how to cut it. My experience with Helena gave me a confidence boost, and now my curls have finally reached their full potential! Had my first curly hair cut today and I couldn't be happier. Helen was so professional and gave me lots of tips to get the best out of my curls. Her salon is beautiful and she goes out of her way to make sure you love your hair and know how to take care of your curls. Worth every penny and my hair has never looked this good!
