Great place to stay. You will not find a more down to earth, comfortable place to stay. Food was excellent, cooked right in there own home! If you get there on time can even go down for a euchre tournament.

I stayed at the Gowganda Motel on a work trip for about two weeks. I couldn't have been happier with the room and the amazing level of service provided by the owner and his family. We had some special requirements such as large equipment delivery and long work hours, they were able to accommodate us in every way. The Motel is quite new and very clean. I had a wonderful time and would defiantly stay there again.

Great fries with friendly service! I've eaten here several times, fries are fantastic, poutine is great, hamburgers are good and prices are fantastic. Internet is fast enough for video, bathrooms are clean (in the motel). I've also had the coffee and hot chocolate, with no disappointments. Outside seating at two picnic tables, some chairs and a gazebo. Internet range is large and covers the whole property. Owner was very helpful.

Thanks for making our stay like a visit while on our motorcycle trip! Great burger & fries from your chip stand & thanks for preparing a great breakfast for us. Room also just fine! Loved the sunset over the lake.

had a wonderful week here. The family run business had everything I needed-even a corkscrew! My room was clean and tastefully appointed, good water pressure in the shower. Johnny T and his family are warm and welcoming the new chip stand came in really handy after a long drive and it was pretty tasty.

The owner is the best part of the motel. :) The rooms are a little dated, but it's clean and there's a kitchenette in each room with dishes, fridge, microwave, hot plate, Satellite TV, AC, and BBQ. There's also a recently added french fry shack on site. Yum! Very friendly locals with lots of good stories.Great place to stay if you're hunting or fishing in the area, or just passing through.
