Stay away! If I could give zero stars I would. Robert Love treats people poorly. He thinks he is above everyone. Ridiculous billing rates. Incompetent. Bills you for their own mistakes. No internal communication or communication with the client. Getting them to do their job is like pulling teeth. You have to tell them to do the job you paid for and update them on what is going on with your file because no one communicates. Appalling law firm. They should be embarrassed. Very unprofessional.

I have personally used their services for my Divorce matter and their staff was very professional, knowledgeable, experienced and helped me walked through the process and gave expert advise to make the right decisions.I interviewed almost 14 lawyers before I met Ida. She gave me the confidence and helped me understand all my concerns and gave me the best legal advise to handle my family matter.I have referred 4 more people to this law firm for their personal matters and they all had good feedback about their services.

I'm in the midst of a difficult divorce and my case is still in progress with Ida. I couldn't be happier with my lawyer. She is very detail oriented and knowledgeable. Ida has always given me the best legal advices. Thanks to her I know much more about my rights. Her work style is very professional and it is not agressive. She does her best to come up with a fair settlement in a patient, professional respectful mannner but also if needed she makes the best alternative approach in the perfect timing with enough supporting information and documentation. Ida and her clerk, Vaneshree, are both very responsive. It is not an easy time for me at all but anytime after my call with Ida and Vaneshree I feel much better. Ida's legal advices also helps me to be in a more stable mindset and make better decisions for myself as well. Let me say that I respect everybody's opinion regarding the experience with a law office. I had the bad luck in the past to deal with difficult people, people who did not even know what and how to do it right, and asking for a huuuge amount of money. Howard Simmons was recommended to me by a very professional person and thus I did not blink an eye when I made my choice. I cannot say that that the price was low, but honestly, I am absolutely sure that his services, and his team assistance, was EXCEPTIONAL. Helen and Mr. DeMichele assisted us in an EXEMPLAR manner! I want to specify one more thing: Howard is for sure that type of lawyer who knows everything and he as well will be able to explain everything and will bring you the confidence that he really knows what he is doing! A wonderful human being which built around him a team of professionals. I mentioned the people who worked for me and I have no doubt that these are absolutely a very good choice. The proof is the fact that even before they finished my first job for which I hired them, I already ask for the next job to be done by the same team. When I wrote this review, I compared their services and behavior with other law offices: I am sure that they are some of the BEST!

I have had Ida as my lawyer for the last year on a family law matter. The legal process can be nerve-racking but it's nice to have an advocate like Ida giving me frank advice. She answers emails all day and into the evening. I have always received a reply within a few hours, usually sooner. She calls to give me updates on communications with the other side. She suggests filing motions and legal strategies but the legal course is always ultimately my decision. With any legal action, paying for a lawyer's time and expertise can add up quickly but it has been so worth it for my peace-of-mind. With Ida's counsel, I know my legal rights. I no longer have to live in a state of stress and I have a buffer from the other side. I can go on happily living my life.Update: After nearly 3 years of my ex wasting time, changing lawyers, calling the CAS, asking for DNA tests, mould testing of my home, changing lawyers again, Dr. testing. I was finally able to obtain sole custody. We always gave my ex the opportunity to present his case and evidence, and always made our case based on its merits. I have appreciated Ida's help so much throughout theses proceedings in suggesting and bringing forward the motions and issues that I needed to raise in order to move my case forward. Without her help I don't know where we would have stalled. Ida works hard and puts forward the hours (working late or on the weekends) in order to move issues forward. Thank you and now I can go on with my life.Legal proceedings are scary and intimidating, having a good lawyer to support you can make that time much less frightening, daunting and stressful.

While I have not been represented by a lawyer from Simmons da Silva, I did have probably the best consultation, I could ask for with a lawyer from the firm named Jim. Jim was fantastic, it was clear that he read and considered the information that I provided him BEFORE speaking with me and responding to my communications, his responses were thorough & extremely well organized, AND I didn’t have to chase him to get him to respond to my communications. I could not afford to retain his services, so I can’t speak to his aptitude in that regard, but if the professionalism with which he approaches consultations is an indication, Jim would be a great choice for representation on a contentious family law matter. Without having had the experience of actually being represented by Jim, I can’t offer a rating of 5, which is why I offer a rating of 4.

Having Ida as my lawyer for a family case matter was the best decision. She has been an amazing lawyer. Her guidance, quick responses and detailed advice is par excellence. I was informed on every step and in a timely manner. Things were discussed and actioned very professionally. Ida and her team had made my journey alot less stressing. Thanks to them!
