Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB), Toronto - South Regional Office

Believe it or not, when you look at other reviews, you feel better because you knew you are not the only one be treated unfairly. It should rename itself as Tenant Board. No one care about Landlord's lost. Good policy encourage people to be good. Bad policy creat tragedy. The Board has lost its meaning of existence.

Every now and then I have called LTB throughout the years either for myself or clients and these LTB “officers” or workers always sound miserable and careless. Very concerning as vulnerable clients will call to obtain information and LTB representative are not warm or welcoming. It’s like you are calling your enemy for help. Not sure if it’s the organization that is careless towards their employees or what exactly it is, I hope it will improve.

If I could sign every review here about poor customer service I would.I had 2 interactions with LTB support, and while the first one was pretty efficient and helpful, my recent experience was terrible. The representative was speaking in a passive aggressive manner from the start, answered my question is a rude unprofessional manner and hung up the phone.

This is impossible in civilized country. I try to solution regarding my tenant and the person on the phone stop me to explain my situation and hang up on me , he talk on top of anything I want to say and because was before closing he treat me like a garbage . Honestly 1 star is huge , -5 is the rate , even 0 is so much , no costumer service , just random guys without any education work in this place. Shame , shame , shame Toronto to hire this tipe of guys

LTB's procrastination, inefficiency, and unfair behavior are killing people's confidence in justice. And intensified the conflict between tenants and landlords. The recent heartbreaking death cases caused by intensified conflicts between tenants and landlords, the poor and inefficient style of LTB is definitely a murderous institution that intensifies conflicts. It should be abolished, and should be created an efficient, fair sector.

Robert Patchett is a power abusing s c u m bag. This c l o w n dragged out 3 hearings, written submissions then took 80 days to respond. Coincidentally the same month his two year term was up. This guy constantly coached my landlord and her lawyer how to do to their job. Her lawyer made two adjournments and made me pay for them. He is even heard yelling at me telling me to shut up and answer the questions. When I filed a complaint what happened. Absolutely nothing. In fact Sean Henry’s two letters were left in the portal. Patchett acknowledged those letters but didn’t read them?? B S power abusing s c u m and Sean Weir is in the loop of all of the this and did absolutely nothing. I have been trying to file a complaint with LTB complaints and Tribunal Ontario they refuse to file a complaint. Fakk this goofy corrupted organization.

I had a court with my tenants for nonpayment of rent and their move out request and although judge knew that they wouldn’t pay the rent but still protected the tenants and pushed me to return $500 which i had as a damage deposit back and gave them time to use my property , at the end tenants did midnight leave without paying our rent on the other sides they damaged my property around $5000 They changed paint of my house without my permission from white to dark orange and green and left stairs part unfinished.Totally around $10000.Tenant changed their number and their plates number. Now how i can find them????I should cover the mortgage and tax of the property, what kind of justice is this?Are we living in Savagery & Barbarism period in Canada on 2023?I am so upset which did investment in Canada i will sell this property and invest in other countries which have a fair justice system.

Unbelievable how incompetent and unqualified are these people.After 8 months of waiting for a court date and an additional month to get a court order they messed up the address on the order. The sheriff will not enforce the order because of the mistake.I called and emailed these illiterate pieces of work. It has been 2 additional months and I still haven’t received the correct court order.You would figure that in order to work for the government you should be at least able to read and write.I am out of 11 months of rent but I still have to pay the mortgage.

This should be negative stars. The customer service officers are beyond rude. They do not understand basic questions and just hang up on you when they don’t feel like continuing the conversation. Even when making a point to be very polite so they can’t use you giving them attitude as an excuse. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt during difficult times. But this organization should be absolutely ashamed of itself and the behaviour and competency of its staff.
