Rissers is a beautiful spot. Great beach, one of the many reasons it is hard to book. But watch for last minute cancellations on the website, you might get lucky. Drive slow!

Awesome beach, the campsites were really nice. It has however gotten a little bit more RV orientated over the years.

Very busy campground. You can park your trailer right at the beach. Other sites are more wooded. There is a beautiful boardwalk. And a canteen which serves fries and ice cream. Not sure their hours though.

We had three great days here right at the water front. Beautiful beach and little people.

Awesome beach and great waves for boogy boarding or surfing. Would be a fantastic camp spot during nice weather. I noticed a couple of minor things during wet weather camping:1) No wood shed to keep wood dry. Wood is left scattered on the ground and covered with a tarp that isn't effective. A simple covered wood shed as is common at other provincial parks around Canada would remedy this. NS is a rainy province so I'm surprised they don't have one. Bring your own dry wood chips or kindling (or wood) to get your fire going easier.2) Where there are water faucets around the tent areas there should be gravel or a concrete slab, not grass. It gets very muddy and water ends up pooling all around the faucets.

Such a beautiful, family friendly place to spend the day or camp. Not too crowded but lots of families and polite people. There are public washrooms that are clean and central. The concession stands were handy for quick food and ice cream but at the time of visit they were only taking cash.

Best kept secret in Nova Scotia, beach is small but sheltered. A wonderful walk through the trail takes you to the public park beach lots of amenities. Showers, toilets, food. The beach is managed by a lifeguard during peak times. And don't miss the raised boardwalk.

I really love this park. It's beautiful. The beach is amazing. The campsites in The little Rissers" are very small and no privacy. But with the beach in the front

Amazing campground! Stayed beachside in a tent and loved every minute of it. Lots of trails to walk with the family and great beach space to play. Staff were kind and helpful and stayed out of your way. Very quiet campground at night even though everyone had campfires going. The sound just doesn’t carry, besides the crashing of the waves
