This man was assigned to me through Legal Aid. He took over from another incompetent attorney. Not once in the 6 months he was assigned to my case did he ever contact me to ask my side of the story. I only met and talked to him once during the beginning of my trial. Mid-way through the trial, it was postponed for reasons never explained to me. 2 weeks went by and when I contacted him for an update, he ignored me. 2 days later, I again emailed him asking for clarification on my case and to ask about R. v Jordan and if it applied to my case, as I had been waiting for almost 3 years. Again, no answer. I had to check myself on the public court lists what what happening as far as next appearance. I had to learn myself from public records that my trial had been postponed for 8 months! When I again emailed him for confirmation, he quit, stating that I wasn't happy with him as a reason. This man is incompetent and a fraud.

Do Not I repeat Do not invest in this attorney, he has taken our retainer, after telling both myself and my wife that most likely won't be using it all, because he believes it will be settled right away, he then ignored us until we got to the week of court date, when I called the office, still no contact with Scott him self, days later he called me and said the prosecutor office would be calling, they did and explained she would file papers right away all charges dropped sorry for the whole situation she explained, then contacted Mr sheets who told us he would call us when all is clear, we heard nothing for weeks until we reached out to the prosecutors office who explained that the papers where in the same day and apologized again for something Mr sheets didn't do, so unhappy at this point dropped the ball leading into my court appearance, made one call too the prosecutors office, then dropped the ball again waited weeks, we contacted his office yesterday about the return of our retainer, he know claims it's not a retainer that it's was a upfront charge, that he's is requiring the full amount, very shady, doesn't seem legal don't call it a retainer, this man charged me 2,500 for a phone call, after leaving it tell the last moment, and not telling us for well over a week that the charges where dismissed and only then, because I was requesting the unused portion of my trainer did he tell me.....
