Originally the estimate was around $800 to finish everything professionally. Unfortunately this far exceeded my budget and we managed to drop it down to less than $400 by finishing the bottom to a lower level of quality.The finished product speaks for itself and brings me lots of comfort every time I sit down to game or get some work done at my new desk. It certainly feels much nicer to me than the cheap particle board tabletops typically found in Ikea nowadays.The only issue I had was the smell of the off-gas from the oil based topcoat as it dried. The smell persisted for a few weeks and as it was in my basement in the middle of winter, there wasn’t much air circulation so I had to avoid that area until it fully dried. I picked up the tabletop the same day that they called, but I was told that sometimes the designers and office workers at the front call a little too early after the work is completed, so I would recommend waiting a few days if possible before picking your finished product up to let it dry in their warehouse and avoid exposing your household to the bulk of the fumes.

Fabulous work and great service!I brought in an antique dresser for conversion into a vanity. The carpenters very carefully cut down the piece and remade the joints and side panels. Very pleased with the result!

Great service. I had two sofa cushions that needed complete new insides. The work was done perfectly and fast. I highly recommend them.

What an absolutely amazing set of employees at this establishment. Excellent service at affordable prices, and let me tell you a scarcely known secret. If you are to personally tip any particular employee, I would strongly suggest Nicholas Krupp, as he is an exemplary example of a model citizen.

I needed a repair for the crown on my buffet hutch that was to tall for a nook in our new home. We brought the piece in and a young lady said she didn’t think they could do the work. I asked to speak to someone who would actually be doing the work. The gentleman said he could do it but would not guarantee his work. He said one hour of work and a bit of time for the touch up. The young lady’s quote was $334.00. 1 hour for repair and 2 hours for touch up. We felt this was unreasonable but she insisted it was a 2 hr touch up.We brought it to an Ottawa Furniture Repair shop. 45 mins for repair 15 mins for touch up. They did an unbelievably wonderful job. You would never know it had been repaired. Cost $90!So look around before you pay.

I stood in lobby for 10 min. NO ONE even acknowledged me. Women in lobby helping man with fabric. Didn't even look at me. You lost a job 8 chairs , 12 foot table.

These folks were great. Had the legs on two wood stools repaired. They were easy to deal with, the service was fast, and the quality of the work seems solid (time will tell). They have a huge workshop and seem to be a full service kind of place. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I need furniture repaired.

We had 2 antique rockers and a chair repaired, reupholstered & rebuilt as well as an antique desk fully restored at Henderson Furniture Repair.They all look great! We're very happy with the results. Nice folks to deal with too. Big thanks!
