ZAZA Espresso Bar and Gelato
Stopped here on a whim last Sunday for a quick bite to eat. The food was okay but lacking flavor or anything to justify coming here again. Unfortunately, other than for the views, I would not recommend coming here to sit down and eat. The staff was unfriendly, really poor service, and we didn't even get a plate or some sort of surface to eat on other than a napkin. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but save your money and go somewhere else.

First of all, the staff do not wash hands and everything is handled with dirty hands. No gloves even, disgusting. Second, the staff are arrogant. Third, we ordered 2 large gelato and my hasband got literally half of what I got. Staff also dressed inappropriate, swimming suit top and on top a see through blouse. Good location but that is about it.

Waited came here for some Gelato aka Ice Cream. Wait was a little long due to miscommunication. However the ice cream tasted good. Hazelnut-coconut-StratciatelaRecommended for refreshment.

Very poor customer service. Went in to get a few espressos, no customer at that moment. There were 3 staff members in front of us at the espresso machine. All three of them did not acknowledge us, and had their backs turned to us for at least 5 minutes. We finally got our espresso and sat down, and one of the staff members had his feet on the cashier counter while talking to the other staff. This place does not grasp the concept of good customer service and it really shows. Train your staff otherwise you will lose business

Came in to this place today around 530PM to have small dinner with my daughter at Zaza Friday Harbor". Came in to the Gelato area as we want to just sit down on a much calmer space but the lady inside said the menu for the patio can only be serve at the patio so ok

Great cafe at Friday Harbour! They have a good of coffees, teas and other drinks. I really enjoyed their croissants and cookies as well. Great place to come and enjoy breakfast on their outdoor patio.Really enjoyed the pistachio cookies, lemon cookies, chocolate croissant and their gelato is so creamy and delicious!

Very good the place was cool and modern I ordered a medium chocolate and it was amazing they also added a cone for decoration. I think the treats there are not very popular but then when we got some treats they where so nice they gave us it for free. The service was top level they where really nice and kind. Overall the place is top level really recommend 6/5 stars.

I bought couple of Ice creams there and was not happy with service I had received. However, the guy who prepared the stuffs for me added a tip for himself without telling me and just asked me to tap my card! He also asked whether I need the receipt or not and as I always take my receipts; I noticed that he rewarded himself without telling me. By the time I realized that I was already came back to Toronto. (Too late)Have tried to call them more than 3 times and talk to a manager, but no one picked up the phone!It's not about couple of bucks, it's all about principle; specially when it comes to a brand new branch!What a shame...Not recommended at all !!!
