Alpine Motel

Greeted at 8 pm by a young man, who was very inconsiderate.I'm old, grey hair . He booked me on a third floor walk up. I said I wanted a ground floor even if I had paid for a more expensive room. I didn't want a refund, just not a 3rd floor walk up. He would not change my room to a main or even second floor room. The parking lot was not full so I knew rooms were available.Bedspread was unwashed, had what looked like feces.No lamp by bed. Main light by door, then you walk in the pitch dark to the bed. I couldn't find the bathroom light. It was his by the shower curtain. Weird location.No electric plug-in by one of the beds.No phone charger plug-ins.Horrible little parking lot.Not good for dogs. Absolutely no green area near the motel.Lousy TV choices.Old wrinkled bedspreads, old curtains and dirty shower curtain made me feel Grunch.Room was large. Room 315 had 2 beds, a couch, coffee table, large TV that I couldn't find much choice, a 4 person table/chairs and a 2 person table/chairs. The only advantage was the large room.Hard plank flooring.Bathroom, except for the shower curtain, appeared clean.Mini fridge, small microwave, little coffee machine - looked like really cheap coffee so didn't try it.No picnic area as shown in previous pictures.No free breakfast, even tho the ad said it did. A Tim Hortons restaurant across the road. A mini-mart across the road.An East Indian family owned property. I felt no hint of friendliness or welcome.Was on a hill, so good view of the city. The place looks good from the outside.Parking was iffy, tiny fenced area. More rooms than parking spots. On a hill. So you can't really stay here if you have a large vehicle because you won't find parking.Was traveling through Kamloops so needed a place for the night. I will never stay here again. I can't recommend it unless you just want an inexpensive uncomfortable motel room.

Room had been reserved and paid. Walkway up to our room on the third floor had ripped carpeting and was filthy and badly stained. The parking lot was too tight for parking. A couple parked next to us and dinged our side view mirror. We were so disappointed that my husband and I decided just to keep traveling on to Vernon and try to forget the experience.

Read fine print on booking no refund when trying to cancel…Came n stayed displeased w the security deposit…300 on debit card and 100 on visa and he said ur crews ruined our place I said I’m fr no crew!!!!And top it off just happen to get out of shower and this guy come knocking on door constantly we said just a min he OPENS OUR DOOR W THE SECURITY LOCK ON!!!!Not even check out time 10:30 about he was knocking on our door assses so dissatisfied!!!

The location is great and if you keep your expectations of the room low you will be fine. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean, just pretty well worn down. Be aware that there is no elevator so if that is a problem for you mobility-wise, or if traveling with kids or heavy luggage, be specific when booking that you need a room on the ground level.

I normally dont like to leave bad review. But all the bad reviews about thia motel is true. What a shame. Such good location.After open windows for 2 days and keep washroom fan running. The cigarette smell still wont go away. At least pillow is not smelly.I can stand with hair and black mold shot out from jacuzzi jet. But please!!!! put a hanger or hook by shower so I dont need put tower on the toilet.

Wish I hadn't booked a room here, got the Jacuzzi suite, room was dirty, no microwave (took 4 days to get fighting for it). Horrible service and staff simply don't care, unhelpful and will do the least amount possible.

I wanted to share some pictures with my review, but I am unable.The good: you can sleep and shower here, and my bathroom worked. It has a tv and a tv box and a fridge.The bad: overpriced. Smoker friendly, there are cigarette butts all over the stairs, walkways, etc, and a very smokey smell in the rooms.The carpet that leads to the 2nd and 3rd floor are sticky, stained, and smelly. Like urine and alcohol and cigarettes. The room had a gross shower curtain with dirt smears on it, and the walls and door also had dirty hand prints. The bed seemed to be freshly made, but the mattress I was on looked to be 30-40 years old, and was very worn down and springy. The laminate floor was extremely worn, pulling apart, the window out the back looked over a pile of refuse at the base of the hotel. I believe this hotel must offer a lot of full time rentals, the place looked fairly lived in. I didn't have a toilet paper roll holder in the room, which seemed like a pretty basic thing to be missing. The sound proofing is quite bad, someone decided to have a long, loud, drunken conversation outside my room until 1am. I ran the bathroom fan to drown it out, which also helped with the smell of smoke in the room.I did spend the night. I will not again.

OMG, where do I start!!!- Very Dirty, Stinks like cigarette smoke- Front desk clerk not helpful.. we asked for toilet paper as there was a 1/8th roll in the bathroom and he said we needed to get some at the front desk. No delivery!!- Cobwebs in the corners of the room- No shower curtain in the bathroom- Trashy sagging bedsMy suggestion is keep on driving by don’t stop!

Staff were friendly. Room was nice and clean. I was shocked how busy it was.

For a non-smoking hotel, my room had the disgusting smell of stale smoke. Cigarette burns on the curtains, hole in the bathroom door, a sort of greyish embedded dirt in the bottom of the tub. On the plus side, the guy on the desk was helpful and polite. Shower was hot and powerful too.
