Lookout Point Country Club

Lovely first time experience. Enjoyed the view all the way to Niagara Falls. Panco fish was delicious with a large side salad. Servers were friendly and very attentive. Hope to visit again in the future.

My 3 star rating is based on two opinions. First the golf course. That is a 5 stars. There is nothing bad to say about this 100 year old gem that consistently makes the top 100 in Canada. Always in great shape and you never get bored playing it. The escarpment effect" is always in play and always tests your course knowledge and patience.The membership experience is a 1 star so averaging the two opinions together comes out as a 6/10 or 3/5 stars. Food and beverage are good for both food and service. Most everything else has been disappointing when you consider this is a private golf club. If it wasn't for the initiation fee I would have left this year. This is a typical "old boys club" in terms of how it is run. If you are in "the old boys club" you will probably have a good membership experience. If not you will always be an outsider looking in. I have found a couple of good guys I play with once a week so I keep my membership at that level.Membership is now full and tee times are impossible to get unless you are in the old boys club then you will always have tee sheet access and can simply not show up if you don't want with no repercussions which the rest of the membership face if they don't call to cancel the time.If I would have known what I know now I would not have joined. Initiation fees have gone up as well. Weekend prime times are lottery so you can't book specific times and restricted memberships will run at least $5000 when you included your F&B minimums.Great golf course though and if you get the chance to play don't turn it down as you won't be disappointed. BUt unless you already know people there your membership experience will be disappointing."

The manager of this place is completely out to lunch. Cars are being smashed by golf balls because they failed to maintain their fences and tree line. When approached he does not have a single care. He is pathetic with no morals. any golfers out there should look around as there is many other golf courses around here who value the public and own up to the damage they cause.

Fantastic course. Incredible views with the elevation changes. It is meticulously kept! For the people who rated this course 1/5, you are crazy. You shouldn't base your rating solely on customer service. I care much more about the golf than how I was treated by the staff and remember that this is a private course!! By the way my service was neither poor nor great! !

Golf course is the only thing this place has to offer. The bunkers suck, pitch marks and divots all over the place. Pace of play sucks. Really, the rest of the facility has the feel of public golf.Bar food at best, the locker room is as old as dirt, the food at the halfway house is awful. Not really sure what people see in this place other then the scenery off of 1 and 10.

Not the longest of courses in the area but you had better bring your A-game" for accurate hole approach. Love this course"
