Neuro North- Hilary Deverell, PT

Being located in Elliot Lake, and living with a rare neurological condition, I didn’t think I’d ever be able to receive specialized physio like I was getting when I was a patient at a physio rehab in Toronto for 11+ months. I came across Neuro North on Instagram one day and was ecstatic when she said we could do virtual neuro physio together! I saw results in my mobility instantly. Hilary’s knowledge is incredible and she’s able to pinpoint exactly what areas need work and is effectively able to teach me how to carry them out over video. It’s amazing the detail she picks up on which shows how individualized and targeted my exercises are. She sees the big picture, my physical goals, and it’s evident that each exercise is like a puzzle piece to being able to complete it successfully and properly. I feel well taken care of with Hilary and have found hope again that my condition can still improve. Her service is absolutely essential to the North and I’m so grateful she chose to practice it here :)

Hilary is a gem. Extremely pleasant and courteous. She explains everything in detail and provides easy to follow exercises, making sure i was comfortable with continuing these on my own. She send a follow up email with exercise details. Love the home visit.

Hilary brought hope to our family, hope to our son who has been suffering with post concussion syndrom for a while. If I could give more than five stars, I would! I saw Hillary for approximately six weeks for a very painful rotary cuff tear, which was worse at night so it affected my sleep. The pain stopped me from doing the things that I love to do. I did NOT want surgery! She went out of her way to make sure that all of my questions and concerns were answered. I decided to trust her and follow through with her treatments and the exercises that she gave me. I am now pain free and I sleep through the night. I am very thankful, and I would not hesitate to recommend Hillary!

Hilary Deverell has been my physiotherapist for the last 11 months. She has been professional and compassionate in every session. I had a stroke July 19, 2021 and was in a wheelchair when she started helping me. Hilary patiently took me, over a period of time, from a wheelchair, to a walker to a cane, and finally to unassisted, but careful, walking. She also helped me negotiate steps and stairs, carefully, (both climbing and descending), with confidence. In addition Hilary's expertise, and extensive therapeutic knowledge and training, has greatly increased the range of motion of my affected shoulder to the point where I now sleep with no pain. In addition my affected arm and hand are progressively improving.Hilary's caring and encouraging approach has moved me from a truly depressive state of mind to a positive and hope-filled outlook. When I met Hilary Deverell at Neuro North I was suffering from tendinopathy in my right shoulder. At the begining of our sessions if I tried to move my shoulder I would have shooting pains. I was unable to dress myself, work or sleep. After a month of working with Hilary I had regained full use of my shoulder with very little discomfort. The fact that Hillary came to my home for appointments made treatment very convenient as I was unable to drive for the first couple of weeks. She was punctual, friendly and knowledgeable.
