Just as most theatres the food is super expensive but it's nice that it is a locally run place. Discounts for students and the elderly are good perks, but the selections for movies are very limited and it only has one screen to play them on. Some of the movies are very obscure and are good for individuals who are into the indie genre but are generally very unpopular movies which end up pushing back the availability for more popular releases. It's a fairly alright date spot.

I go to the movies weekly. And have done so for more than a decade. My favorite theatres are the family owned ones with the great experience and the fresh popcorn. I live in Arizona, but on a recent stay in Alberta to be with family, I visited the Jewel Theatre. And I found a gem!Jewel, as the name says, is a precious experience, not least because the building and the staff exemplify the notion of a quality and unique experience. This is an old style theater, with the low and slow slope down to the front row, the long horizontal profile and the spacious and quality seating everywhere.From the moment I entered there was a vibrancy and upbeat mood from the staff. They welcomed me in as they were serving another customer. A quick scan of my digital ticket and I ordered a fresh popcorn (that was actually made fresh) with an iced tea. The drink was served in a large and old style tall glass jar with a flask topper. Super cool. The large popcorn was, well, larger than I needed! What do I do with the drink jar when I am done?"

Wendy and her staff always exceed expectations! I’ve had delicious food and drinks from the new menu and I’m always appreciative to not have to travel to have a night out at the theatre. Keep up the great work!

Great theatre - far exceeded our expectations! We were camping nearby and decided to go to a movie on a rainy day. The actual theatre is great - better than any theatre in a large city. Tables on several seats to put your popcorn/pop. Prices are reasonable, popcorn fresh and tasty. They even had a minion character after the movie, which was a nice touch for the kids. It was my toddler's first movie in a theatre, and it was a hit!

For a small town theatre, it's really nice. Screen is a good size, sound quality is good. Seats with tables are a nice touch!

I LOVE our small town theatre. They do extremely well for their size of operations. They work hard to get films they believe the community will want, and they locally advertise which is important! They always seem to have some great event they are a part of or are putting on, which is great for our community. I am thankful for our small town theatre!
