THE OWNER'S RESPONSE TO CANADIAN LONGHORN 1 STAR REVIEW:We are genuinely surprised; we have not experienced this level of malice in a review before.We have been in business for six years now. Our house has 71 reviews on Airbnb with an average of 4.60 stars and 15 reviews on VRBO with an average of 4.90 stars!!!That means that 86 different groups of people rated us as outstanding. We love our guests and work hard to provide an excellent experience for them.

Yes, renting a vacation rental these days is quite the experience.There are so many people who do not care about the property of the owner, have no problem damaging it, and equally no problem making invalid criticisms.Yes, the pool table was damaged (not destroyed) by a previous guest. Our stereo was destroyed and we have not bothered to replace it as it would be money thrown out the window (the comment we always hear from guests is it wasn't me"). As we do not advertise the stereo

Stayed over the weekend this spring and everyone in our group was surprised how nice the house was. The owner is kind and very helpful and we’d highly recommend it. Beautiful remote location, and the house easily fit our large group. Thanks again!

This place had potential and while I had a good time with my friends, old and new, the experience was overshadowed by the poor condition of the amenities and general lack of care for those who are paying to stay here. No stereo, broken furniture, torn and stained pool table ( 5 pool cues that are all bent and only 1 had a tip ). BBQ was rusty and old and the walls were covered in what I can only imagine is residue from splashed drinks and such. The so called theatre room is just a room with a tv and there wasn't enough firewood for more than 2 hours. Simply put, the owners appear to not care about your experience. I would have had just as good a time in a tent.

Place was pretty run down, pool table had been destroyed by whoever was there previous. Theater room lacked a stereo and the chairs were all most all broken.Beds were comfortable and the shower in the ensuite was awesome. The hot tub was decent but not all that hot.

Not really a review, but certainly something to note... Apple Maps will direct you to a completely wrong location. If you find yourself going up an unpaved forest service road, you are going the wrong way.

Maintenance is required, broken furniture should repaired or replaced,Access to laundry would great, for towels and laundry after hiking in the mountain.
