Northland Motel

I was happy to be able to get a room here as I was driving across Canada. It was a little expensive for what you get but as long as you are not super picky this room will give you a good night sleep. The bed was super comfortable and the room we as clean. It's an older building and the highway noise is a little loud. I had a dog withe and that I cr we asked the price by 40 dollars. I thought that was a little steep but I'm sure there have been issues with dogs in the past so I am okay with paying it.

The room was clean but I did notice that someone had leftvan drink cup on the floor beside the bed. The tub was not a standard tub..actually not impressed with this room.

We had a great stay with our dog at the Northland Motel.Our room was very clean, well stocked, and spacious. An enormous dump of snow came overnight, but the motel owners had the entire parking lot and walkways completely clear of snow very quickly.They only charge $20 for pets, which is very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again!

The room was nice and bed was comfortable. It wasn't as clean as what I would have expected but passable. This motel supplies fans but not air conditioning, which is needed.

Book ahead, it's a busy area. Rooms could use air conditioning. Old but clean and comfortable.

The room had no AC, the manager was grumpy and borderline rude and the bedspreads had stains and the single chair in the room was worn and the upholstery was torn. But mostly for a motel of this caliber, it was WAY over priced! We paid over a $170 for one night for the two of us and a small dog.Best thing it has to offer is the location is right off the highway. But it did give us a place to sleep.

Right on the highway and very dated... room was very dated. Toilet handle was broken and sink did not empty virtually at all... this was the only place that charged individual dog fees of all the places we stayed across Canada... in my opinion over priced for what we received...

This is the 2nd time we've stayed and we have booked for our trip back. The location is perfect for passing through. The rooms are comfortable and I understand some are being renovated. Staff is friendly.

Place was clean and the odor inside was bearable but lights didn't work and no it was not because there was no electricity in the room. Lots of bulbs missing in the light stands! No a/c that was a pretty tough one since it was pretty hot outside! And the place was absolutely far overpriced! I'd pay maybe $65 for such a place but not a $130 for 1 night! They definitely need to lower their price! The customer service was not bad either. I don't want to stay at this place again if I can just help it!

Both Hwys were shut down due to severe winter storm conditions this past weekend and I ended up spending the night here.Customer service was very friendly and quick.Although the rooms were priced a bit too high in my opinion and this was just a motel along the highway. But overall and in general and in the middle of nowhere, it was worth the price and the quick rest and a shower to freshen up for the journey to Toronto. I will return to this place any time later.The lady at the front desk was very friendly and even thoygh more than 40cm of snow had fallen but the property was well maintained and the snow routes cleared and access to and exit was very well maintained. Great service and family owned place
