Our experience with the VTL has been consistently great, from the regular staff to the tool line-up. We had several power tools out for loan when my wife went into labour and the VTL staff were exceptionally accommodating, allowing me to keep the tools an extra week in order to finish the crib that we now needed.Hope the VTL stays around for a long time and continues to expand

Awesome place! Open hours complement my off work hours which is convenient if you're a 9 to 5er. Also very affordable. With their low cost annual membership of just $25 you can start renting tools for only a dollar a day. Online inventory is a huge plus to for viewing available in stock rentals. This place is offering people the power to rent tools. Good call!Could of recieved ☆☆☆☆☆ five stars but the late fees costs are surprisingly high.

I used to really love the VTL but the last couple times I went there, the guys working were incredibly rude. Just treated me like I was stupid and made me feel really small. They have some good tools, but honestly if that's how they treat their members, it's not worth it. I definitely don't think I'll be renewing my membership.

Great place to borrow tools for projects! Lots of selection - just be careful when using power tools for precision work as some of them are a little older.

I've been with the Tool Library since 2012 and it has been an amazing experience! Everyone I have met has been kind and welcoming - filled with advice for any sort of project at all skill levels.14/10 recommend for everyone!

Such an awesome co-op! If you have projects you want to complete, but don’t have the tools, this is exactly what you need. Rather than buying and storing all the things you need to get things done, you buy a membership and pay around a dollar a day for most items to borrow. Super nice, knowledgeable volunteers run this place and I love coming in to get what I need.

I really appreciate the existence of the VTL as both my housemate and I are able to take out tools with my membership. You may extend your borrowed tools over the phone and the volunteers have been pretty great and accommodating. That is super convenient. I still think there should be an online reservation system though and if it ever is implemented, I think it would be perfect.

So many benefits to using the tool library! From lawn and garden care equipment, to borrowing drills and saws, to using their tools in the shop to make a quick cut or drill a hole. Also, loved getting my board waxed there, by a pro snowboarder!

Amazing place that brings a real sense of community to whoever goes there. Almost free to rent tools. This place is run by friendly, knowledgeable volunteers. Awesome people! Who could complain?

Not open on Fridays, so you won't be able to get tools for weekend projects unless you plan ahead on Thursday. Also lacking lots of basic automotive tools that you'd want to find at a Tool Library.I guess if you need a Robertson screwdriver they are a good place to go...
