We absolutley love Call of the Canine. All of the staff are knowledgable, professional and personable. We have completed Start em Right, Trenage Transition, Life Skills 2 Intro to Agility, and we're ready for more! Our dog also attends the daycare once a week. She is always happy to arrive and absolutley played out by the end of the day! Thank you Call of the Canine!

I have a reactive dog that I adopted from a shelter that I have been trying to work with to build her confidence around dogs and to control her reactivity. My dog is ultimately harmless but fearful and over excited around dogs. I filled out the Call of the Canine information form online with this information and set up an appointment. First of all, the owner was late for the appointment. After that, she explained that she was going to do parallel walking outside with my dog and another dog. She said that she would handle my dog. Once I was outside she took the leash and then the other dog walked the perimeter of the property. My dog was highly reactive and the woman struggled to hold my dog (45 pounds). The whole situation made me very nervous. She did not try to redirect my dog or to make my dog focus, sit, or various other tricks to help her calm down. Instead, she kept handling her and explaining how the Easy Walk harness that I had was the problem. Once inside, she spent 10 minutes telling me about how to hold the leash and walking my dog around in a calm room with two leashes. She even suggested a harness on the back of the dog. After everything, she said that she didn't have any suggestions for my dog off the top of her head because she wouldn't be suitable for group classes. She suggested that I call back later. Her only advice to me was for different tools for the dog but nothing to help my dog herself. She also did not do an assessment of things I already knew. Instead, she spent 10 minutes condescending me, asking questions like Do you go and greet everyone on the street?" I don't want my dog to greet every dog and I never said that I did. I am so shocked by this business' inefficiency

I had three private sessions with Cheryl, to help with my fearful dog (Cleo). Cheryl was kind, knowledgeable and took things slowly to ensure Cleo was comfortable. She is very well versed in dog body language, which she used to adapt in our sessions. She worked with me and suggested non-coercive strategies that might work (many did). Cleo is learning to be more confident, and I am thrilled to see kindness and respect being used in dog training. We'll be back for group classes. Thank you!

I have been working with Cheryl and Monique for a while now. My two female Great Danes had a few fights due to some unfortunate circumstances not in my or their control. Cheryl has been amazing patiently working with them to help build pleasant together times for them and we have made amazing progress. They walk together in training sessions and have settled into a very happy place. I recommend Cheryl and am happy to be working with her. We have had some amazing results and the dogs are happy as am I. Cheryl knows her stuff.

Both of our dogs would give it 10 stars if they could! When I drop them off at COC, i feel that it’s like dropping your kids off with the most knowledgeable, loving and caring family members. As discerning owners, we truly appreciate the customized care and guidance to meet the needs of our pups. COC is a gem!

Cheryl and the other trainers help me get my dog to realize it’s full potential. I think the group class format is outstanding since you learn from both your mistakes and the other dogs and owners mistakes. Good training is essential for all responsible dog owner’s
