My wife and I used Independent Disc Jockeys for our wedding, and I must say we were very impressed with the services we received. We thought it would be difficult to plan our wedding because we live in Calgary and were having our wedding in Thunder Bay, which is where most of our family is. Despite the distance, IDJ Canada made it really easy to communicate with them. We had several conversations over the phone regarding our event, and we met personally with our DJ Trevor a few days prior to our wedding to confirm details like the song my wife and I wanted for our first dance, as well as other requests we wanted to hear throughout the night. Trevor also provided ceremony and dinner music, and once the reception started a great mix of music for all of our guests. Not only did he play great music, but Trevor was very interactive; the bouquet and garter toss was a ton of fun. He also encouraged our guests not to drink and drive. The next day at our open house, people were still talking about how much fun they had at the reception. We received many complements on the music. At a recent wedding I was photographing in Thunder Bay, I had the pleasure of working along side Amber from IDJ. She was very organized, friendly and professional and really knew how to get the crowd going. Its easy to forget small details during your reception such as when is the cake getting cut" etc. Amber was on the ball and ensured everything ran smoothly and according to plan. There were two instances throughout the evening where the reception halls provided microphone cut out. Amber took it upon herself to quickly and quietly solve the issue for the hall. Highly recommended!"

We had IDJ Canada for our wedding and everything was perfect.  Trevor was a true professional who helped my wife and I plan the music for our entire day.  He provided music and a wireless microphone for our ceremony, had some great music during dinner and had our guests on the dance floor all night including an encore! We just had our wedding done by idj and i must say, bery unimpressed. Our DJ Jess was a great person to deal with but the poduct you get is definatley not worth the price tag attached. IDJ claims to find the best people in the city. Far from reality. First off the DJ forgot her mixer, which was about 1/5 th of the equipment they bring. It was just twp speakers in the corner of the tent. I really dont know why this business even exists. First you go to an office and the owner sells you how great he is and how they are more professional than your average dj. How they can dransistion from one song to the next seamlessly..i really didnt notice any of this at the wedding and neither did my guests. They fold my wife and that they would get in touch with us a month before the wedding to finalize details. That happened two weeks before. Anyway, just dont, just go directly to a DJ service in town.
