Caribou/Munroes Island Provincial Park

This is an amazing campground! Lots of trees for privacy, beautiful beach and a great price! They book up quickly so call ahead to reserve your spot!

Very nice park that is located along a beautiful stretch of coastline. It has a very nice and long sandy beach that rivals many other places. The sites are overall well sized, especially those with electric and water. Only site 30 is tight for larger trailers and a vehicle. The washroom with showers was very clean, they clean them hourly! However, for a park this size one building with washroom and showers is definitely not enough. Especially if you are in a different loop you are a bit out of luck if you don’t have your own bathroom as even the number of outhouses is low. But they do have cooking shelters which is nice in case the weather is not as great.

Beautiful campground. Staff are friendly. Office was open until 10pm which was really convenient. Our first time camping and we're not disappointed. We stayed at site #1. We definitely would come back, but booking at Caribou-Munroes was really very crucial this year.

Really nice trail and beach but would have liked a more defined trail instead of it just being a shore side walk

Peaceful, quiet little beach attached to a campground. There is good separation between the campground and the beach, so I did not hear any people while walking on the beach.

During our three week trip with RV in Nova Scotia this was one of the best campgrounds. We had site 9 in loop A with power and had a view on the ocean. Lots of free space to play. Quiet. Beautiful beach with little people and clear water is 100m away. Dumping station and fresh water also available. If you can bring your own wood instead of paying 5 dollar for some sticks (like everywhere in NS).

Pretty place. Very kind staff. However, I found the place to be loud and bright. I guess I understand given that school will begin again soon and everyone is soaking up summer while they can. Loved walking up the beach!

Beautiful campground, the campsites are very spacious. The place is nice and the beach is beautiful. I even had the chance to see a seal poke its head out of the water. My only con is the toilets and showers that really need some renovations. Other than that, it was perfect!

Love visiting Caribou park, there is plenty of green space for picnics, a camping area for RV's and tenting, and a pristine beach just a short walk from the parking area. Besides the stairway to get to the beach, there is also an unpaved ramp for those who can't do stairs. There are outhouses on site as well in case you need to make a quick pit stop.
