HSBC Bank

Terrible bank. Not sure any are good anymore mind you. Customer service in the banking sector is a thing of the past. Lousy service, can’t get a phone call returned. They also screwed up a bank draft deposit by $100,000. Who does that?!

Banked with HSBC 13 years . Recently HSBC chances its policy and all checks are held for 6-7 business days to clear. The exception is if you go in and wait for a teller, then they will clear you check on the spot . So let me understand this , I can take picture deposit funds but they dont clear . I have been an exceptional client perfect credit .. but you hold small and large checks .. So I call Van-City on the phone - they pull my credit .. They state not a problem They will not hold my check up to $5000. So I go back to my bank and I ask ..there has to be something we can do" Baffled they look at me and stated no .. So YOU LOST MY BUSINESS"

I went into get a new mortgage with HSBC and I was pleasantly surprised by their exceptional service. I dealt with Youssef, one of the advisors in the branch and he enabled a smooth and quick process in getting everything set up the way I wanted it to be. I would definitely recommend his services and would not hesitate to contact him again in the future if needed be.

Horrible experience here. The staff are rude and not helpful at all. The service is awful at this location. Do not recommend!!! They need to hire better staff.

Booked an appointment over the phone and I went for a mortgage pre-approval with a geat man called youseff, I have never met a humble advisor like youseff, he is very smart and down to earth guy, he was straight to the point and so knowledgeable and packed up with education and background. I highly recommend him, he got me the pre approval in 3 days !!!! Geat job youseff, you will be something recognizable in the near future.

Great customer service from Sarah, she was courteous and attentive, I highly recommend Langley Branch for any banking service at HSBC.

This bank used to be good (we are talking about 10 years ago). But recently, I've noticed a lot of staffing changes. This bank is not user friendly. I have recently gotten married and was trying to add my wife to my account, they said that I had to open up a whole new account! Then they proceeded to tell me and my wife that they wanted her to switch banks and bring all her money in before they would do this, UHHH what? Unethical services for sure. We went to my wife's bank, added me no problem. HSBC needs to get with the times as well, their hours of operation suck due to me working Monday-Friday late, and on their Saturdays the staff there are fairly green. It took them 30 mins to add a payee to my account? Really guys. Not happy, thinking about pulling my accounts and switching banks.

Before i went to the branch for my mortgage renewal i saw the bad review and I was reluctant to meet with Joussef at the Langley branch. Would have been a big mistake! He was really very nice and welcoming and very helpful. It was a great, positive experience and I would recommend this branch and their personnel to everyone:)

Complete Waste of Time!! I booked an appointment yesterday for today at 1pm with Yosef! HSBC I suggest you teach this clown some customer service skills. I came to open up a premium account ( which your head office booked for me due to the large deposit) I left 2 mins after we sat down. Completely rude and condescending. Dressed like a slob in red t shirt and jean. No respect given at all and not one ounce of professionalism.

You won’t believe this one!!! For eleven years we have been getting mail to our address from this bank with another person’s name . I have delivered the mail myself to a teller twice stating this person does not live here . I have phoned Vancouver head office explaining problem. Foreign language hard to understand. Said they will make note on computer. I can tell these are someone’s personal bank statements. I am talking 11 years!!!!Would you trust your money and personal information with this kind of bank.
