Did Portland to Yarmouth. Beautiful boat, great service, easy on/off. Tie down points for motorcycles with cam straps provided! Check in was a breeze, the trip relaxing. Enjoyed my crossing.

The pre-boarding process was extremely easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. But your best bet is make sure you already have reservations, it will save you some time. Being on a motorcycle, they board all the bike at the same time in the same area. The boat provides ratchet straps and the staff gives you the option to strap your own bike down or they will do it for you. Once on the boat, there is a decent selection of food and beverages. The food was extremely good, priced a little on the high side, but well worth it. The scenery was amazing. The ride was a very smooth ride and the debarkation was very easy as well. This is a great way to travel from Nova Scotia back to Maine.

This was my first time taking the ferry. After 3 1/2 hours of driving from Halifax, I was exhausted and had no clue of the procedures. The workers, from the entry to boarding, made it so seamless. On board, the breakfast bar was well stocked. The bacon chicken wrap was definitely a hit, and the coffee was not shabby either. I am looking forward to the return leg, and if course, more cruises this summer. Maine...here we come...again!

We had a good ride over from Bar Harbor on the CAT ferry. It took a bit of time to get off of the ferry due to the long line for customs. They only had three gates open.

Bar Harbor, ME Terminal is where you board on foot or in your car. We boarded in our SUV. Then CAT ferry personnel directed us to take what we needed, lock car, but not alarm it. We then proceeded to find seats in passenger tier of the ship and settled in for the 3.5 hr ride on The CAT. Very comfortable.Prices are high on this ship ($3.50 for 20 oz. of Dasani water), so bring what you are going to drink and eat. There is a bar for cocktails, beer and wine and bar food. There are other places to get food and drink on the ship. Get the brochure or go on line.Trip was uneventful, except for one dolphin siting. We waited for most people to leave when ship was at Yarmouth, NS, Canada port, then we walked to our car and waited until it was time to drive off boat and into a line for Canadian Customs. That went quickly and we were on our way to our hotel at about 8 pm.
