Jindokai Karate offers an excellent environment for Karate training, no matter your skill level and experience.Sensei Ariel is experienced, calm, patient and supportive while teaching about discipline, dedication, and self-defence through the practices of Karate.The dojo offers a true journey of self-improvement in a safe and welcoming environment.

My sons have been part of this dojo since 2016 and we are very fortunate to have found such an amazing class. Out of all the sports they participate in, karate is their favourite due to the format that Sensei teaches. Each class they start with warm-up exercises and games and during the season they learn kata, bunkai, and kumite. As a parent, over time you start to see your kids blossom with self-awareness of their body and movementsSensei is knowledgeable, effective in communicating with young kids, and encourages them to do their best.Do not hesitate to take this class! I have been going to Victoria Jindokai Karate for the past 10 years. My experience has been amazing. With the guidance of the teacher, I have gone through winning gold in zone six and going all the way through to provincials. I even got to go the UK to meet and train with the one and only Steven Chan, a 10th dan black belt and the only one in the world (for this type of karate). I have learned and applied techniques I have been taught to escape dangerous situations. Overall, this Karate club is the best one I have ever been to. Ariel is a great sensei! He's giving back to the community by running this school. You don't often find financially accessible karate in the greater Victoria area, so what he is doing is great. I trained here for 4 years and grew my karate skills and made great friendships along the way. My schedule no longer lines up with the training schedule otherwise I would still be going. If you're interested in karate this would be the school to start your training at. With small class sizes personalized attention from a Sensei who truly cares you will go far if you put in the time to train.

Affordable and fun with a great atmosphere.This is the most affordable Karate club around, with a very knowledgeable and skilled Sensei who is great at encouraging students to engage in the Karate activities. Sensei is great at explaining each move that is taught in order to arm students with the knowledge of when to use those specific Karate moves. Here, there are no unnecessary testing fees" etc.
