Chris came out to the property I am.purchasing and was incredibly professional and helpful. He did a very thorough septic inspection as well as a great building inspection. He really took the time to go through everything with me and gave me honest, informed information. I would absolutely hire him again!

They came to inspect the house twice at the beginning of our listing ... We got an other offer and Dunbar was hired to do the inspection again... half hour prior the inspection i got a call they wont come to the house and they will copy and paste both report (6 mounts old)from prior customers already in files and email it to new potential buyer. They never ask if I did fix or replace things, they just took somebody's money without showing up at the house. I'll never recommend Dunbar. We took them also 6 yrs ago when we did buy the house... I wasn't impressed back then either....

We had Dunbar inspect our home that we were purchasing in 2018. There was a reverse sump pump in the front yard covered only with a wooden pallet. They didn't even go to check it until I pointed it out.They had concerns about the wood stove chimney being too close to the propane furnace pipe, but it was cleared by all other professionals who checked it. They found asbestos" around pipes in the basement that were actually styrofoam and there were several things that fell apart after we moved in that were not mentioned/noticed by them.Cut to 2022 when we sell the house

We had a great experience with Ron at Dunbar in June 2021 for a home and septic inspection. He responded to my questions and booking inquiry well within the first 24 hours and we were booked for a couple days later. He was early arriving to the appointment and was already getting to work outside! The inspection was very thorough and he was happy to answer questions or make comments through the process. We received our emailed detailed report a few hours after the inspection was complete. The report was very detailed, included photos of the entire property that was inspected and gave a description of the areas inspected, on top of pointing out the the negative issues that he discovered!We are so appreciative that we received such a great service, as the home we had inspected ultimately needed 50k+ in non-cosmetic fixes. Definitely saved us from buying a nightmare! We will be using Dunbar again as soon as we find a different house to buy!Dunbar Home Inspections website is very transparent with services offered and pricing tiers; knowing this information upfront is much convenient than waiting for a quote when the home inspection condition timelines are tight!
